kovan melody has a really nice long stretch of swimming pool, looks quite good when my friend brought me in. nah my parents sold the hse at kovan road. moving to rosyth for 1.5 years then the new house is somewhere near bukit timah there. no mrt, no friends living near and also much lesser eating places..
its actually quite famous, there was once my father queued up for 1/2 an hour.Originally posted by Wanda:Is that lavender stall the one that appeared in the Sunday times previously? I ate it once...not bad lah...got the nostalgic "gu zao wei" taste, but the portion was very small. Definitely not going to q up for it.
The one at Kovan that I want to eat is not famous, but I find its taste is close to the wanton mee I'd eaten as a kid, and the soup is nice.

And the portion is small and asspensive
And the char siew is dry and tasteless
I don't think it's nice at all.
I prefer the one behind my office
Have a savoury black sauce
The char siew is juicy and gives you both boiled and fried wanton
Only $2 for a reasonable portion but I always order $3 with more 'liao' which is shiokier!

You kiddingOriginally posted by the Bear:i like chicken feet
still remember trying to con an australian in Richmond..
they amputate the feet off battery hens so that the hens stay there and not try to move about.. that's where we get so many feet from
and instead of him being conned, another Singaporean fella with us took the bait and exclaimed "izzit?? that's so mean!!"
