Hey elindra,
I think BOTH of you must want to have children before you go ahead. If either of the parents are unwilling, the child will be at the receiving end.
I think there will be some barriers, psychologically and/or financially and I don't think it's possible to resolve all. It needs a step of faith too. -

100% he will be up before me so if he is home he will be the poor parent getting up at night

I'm grossed out by anything unsanitary (yes a drooling kid grosses me out)
I'm afraid I'll be fat n ugly
The thought of having to clean the house more then what we do now is
No one to look after the kid
I'll have to shop less and buy less expensive stuff
And I'm afraid that Mr Pinky Bear will focus more attention on the kid then me

Nobody can decide except the both of you. More importantly you're the one carrying the baby. Hard to weigh the costs and rewards hor? Maybe with some planning, some of the problems can be resolved.
Fortunately for me, my girlfriend and I want to have children and will start soon after our wedding
