the section running on osx doesn't need anti-virusOriginally posted by Rhonda:
Does that mean that I'll have to end up buying TWO versions of anti-virus and firewall?!
I still run my OSX with a firewall but did not bother with anti-virus. There are reports (not sure verified or not) that for some reason, certain anti-virus actually messes up the OSX and cause minor malfunction. Personally I just rely on Apple to upgrade the security.Originally posted by Rhonda:

Bear, is there a visible difference in performance when running XP on a Mac? Not sure whether to invest in the XP or not.
Not unless you are paranoid... or if you do risky stuffs or likes clicking on everything...Originally posted by Rhonda:

For gaming lah.... I read in the reviews that the purpose of the parallels is NOT in gaming. I thought for a moment you were using a dual-OS system.Originally posted by the Bear:i dunno.. i don't use it.. why xp when you have OSX?
I've done my homework already! Only laptops can be claimed via salary packaging. PC's can be claimed via tax rebate and for every year thereafter, depreciation can be claimed.Originally posted by whitsundays:Hi Rhonda, I supposed you are looking at the dell 9200 system. It is a quite a decent system with the exception of the anti virus software.
Before you start signing it with your credit card, you might want to check your salary package. Certain organisation allows salary sacrifice for computers, cars and other items. You can claim your taxes for depreciation on your computer if you claim that you used it for work.
