I go with whatever looks good on me and is < $180.
I've had no problems in 3 years with my frameless pair. -

Full frames don't have much to choose from these days

I just paid for new funky orange half frame specs, multi-coated plastic lens from Emperor Optics at Parkway. Very affordable.
I recommend u try Swissflex from them. Super light plastic. (Almost like not wearing specs). Comes with variety of colours, but expensive abt $300. -
transition lens! u will look super duper cool... in the sun...

ya.. this one is better than frameless.. is currently more in trend.. rem to choose the frame that suit ur face color & shape to suit ur face shape. best is long rectangle one (the width depend on ur face shape).. pls dont choose round or oval one.. is out of date. choose a thicker frame cos is in trend now..Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:That means half the lenses has frame, the other half doesn't have.

Any frame with do.. Try the transition lens but be mindful that i might be a little costly..

I am more concern with price and service.

As for service wise, I like CK Optician at Toa Payoh. Outside Toa Payoh Hub. Walk towards Old Chang Kee and cross the road. It's next to a bridal shop.
Don't know anything, can ask him (Desmond). He will explain everything to you, and recommend some specs for you, based on your needs. If you want, can also do a thorough check, wash your specs, ask for extra equipment, all FOC.

if u are gng toa payoh, u can try these 3 shops too.
when u reach KFC, turn left, there are 2 optical shops, one of them called "asia", they are awarded best service for many years.
just one or two shop away from "asia", there is another optical shop, they sell trendy glasses at reasonable price.
another one is.. opposite "this fashion", there are 2 optical shop there. one of them sell the lowest price for contact lens & solution (so far is the lowest that i have found) so i suppose their glasses are at reasonable price too.
u can go check them out. -
I prefer handmade spectacle frames like Theo. A lil' more pricey but kinda worth it for good design + ya gonna like wear it every day!
