  Has anyone bought diamond rings from these companies? Any comments?
  
  I'm looking for a ring that will wear well and looks good (good strong setting, diamond dun drop out, etc)
  
  Also how much does did you pay for your ring? What size, color, clarity, cut and setting?

  errrmmmm...at least a six prong solataire. with the ring rounded so it wont cut into your fingers should you accidently be dragged by it.
  
  You will want a thin band so caustic fruit juices wont be trapped under it and cause your skins under the ring to be inflamed.
  
  and something smooth cutting and the prongs rounds enough so you wont scatch and run veil materials or pantyhoses.
  
  Go for a round diamond, as it signifies fullness and the cut within will sparkle better.
  
  and get it half a size bigger cos when you are preggie or when you are bloated during some times of your month, it wont be too tight on your fingers cutting off circulation. easier to downsize a ring then to upsize it cos of the cost of the gold.

  go for at least a carot.
  
  3 carots will be too big and errr...the joke last time with a friend with a 3 carot tiffany solataire. some gals tot its from Perlini's silver.

  sigh. i'm not insisting on those brands. but i just read the singaporebrides forums and a lot of gals complain about their leehwa, goldheart rings. a few of them lost their diamonds. one of them the night of wedding the diamond fell out as she set on the chair while another had her name polished off from her husband's ring. i really dun want to cry over lost diamonds or bad service.

  I suggest u guys get a simple non-expensive wedding band too for everyday wear
  
  For yr reference, Mr Pinky Bear spoilt his ring in less then a yr
  And both of us dun wear our wedding bands at all these days

  precious metals, by their nature are soft...
  
  if you want something which will hold its shape and not allow stuff to fall off, i suggest aircraft-grade titanium.. and i'm not joking here...
  
  they have such things.. they're expensive although titanium isn't very expensive (weight for weight, the price of silver)
  
  the sheer hardness of the metal makes working it almost impossible for jewellery and that makes the 'workmanship' insanely high..
  
  however, it's not going to wear out or break anytime soon.. or probably in your lifetime..

  I helped a friend shop for his wife's wedding ring.
  
  Charlotte Atelier has nice diamonds. And the quality is good. So far no complains.
  
  Ever consider man-made diamonds? There's a shop at Wheelock. I can't remember its name. The diamonds look as good as as the real ones, if not better. And it's much more affordable.

  Or maybe you can still get a emerald cut as a engagement ring? And has a round diamond imbeded wedding ring.
  
  then the engagement diamond will stand out from the ring and the wedding ring band down below.
  
  Most times, after a while, you most likely wont be wearing both rings unless its a special occasion.
  
  And naturally you will be wearing your wedding bands more.
  
  i had a odd design diamond ring and it cannot be worn with a normal ring cos it makes the diamond ring looks like its sitting crooked.
