  What size of bed? Queen size? Sometimes it's due to the bad design of the bed that makes the slat easier to break.
  
  If it happens again after you replace it, go and g et a steel frame bed....

  nah.. it's just a single bed (got no one to share it with )
  
  the rest of the bed is pretty sturdy.. except the slats

  In other news, my doctor has referred me to see a specialist for my rash. He has made the appointment to see the specialist tomorrow morning. It's so nice of the doctor. At least he's making an effort to help me find a "cure".
