  My parents do - every year. They even erect a pole and hang the flag properly up high, none of those half-assed jobs .

  Before I got married, my mom used to hang the flag at MY flat. She bought the flag, actually, and she'll take it down later, wash it, fold nicely and then repeat every year.

  There is a block of low level 2 storey HDB flats across the road from where I live. One of the families living on a ground floor unit colonised the plot of grass behind their unit , along the road, making it into their own garden - they plant their own plants , flowers, even set up a little umbrella and plastic chairs and shed. It's very nice.
  
  Every national day they'd even string lights and flags and decorate the garden! The decorations are up already Saw the twinkling lights the other night.

  I resent the fact that I'm only allowed to hang the fucking flag only for 2 months out of the fucking year if not I'll be fucking fined or fucking arrested. why the fuck should citizens not habve the right to hang the fucking flag anytime they fucking want? Fuck the PAP and I will not ever hang the fucking flag until they abolish this fucking stupid law! Fuck the PAP!

  It's funny that some people will do the extras, above and beyond what is needed because " It's nice wad.... it looks nice, for the occsassion " etc. And are happy to do the extras. I mean, which one of us would willingly pay for the electricity for the light-up ?
