most are scams.. the genuine ones, you're giving close to 50% to those who organise it... a very small percentage actually reach the charity -

For those who have extra money wanna donate, let me know!!!! My schoool have loads of families and kids who need new wheelchairs, new spectacles, new shoes. -
yeah.. well, if i have more shoes i don't need (my organisation issues us shoes sometimes) i'll let you know.. really
in the meantime, i'll give my money to the charity i know which turns all the money into actual things for the poor.. and those who help out usually come out with their own money too... and their time and use of their own vehicles -

Did they use NCSS' name when soliciting for donations?
I also wonder: sometimes when we're presented with a copy of the "licence" by the commissioner - how do we know that is a genuine copy of the licence when we've never seen how it's supposed to look like?

they've been around for so long. every holiday they lure youngsters looking for jobs to sell charity tickets. those who had spent a day with them noes wat's going on.

yeah one of my friends once got scammed into working for it.
out of a 2 dollar ticket, onyl 30 cents goes to the charity.

. always see those sec sch kids asking ppl to donate on every sat n tats getting abit irritating. -
and i encounter before those xmm wearing damn low cut and mini-skirt, trying to sell those tickets. and saw some ah pek looking at dem like as though dey nvr see zha bo before.
some measures must be put in to stop these nonsense. -

For the annual NUS Rag N Flag day, the hostelites and clubs will build floats in a competition, so part of the money goes to the expenses of the float too. That's what I know, unless things have changed in recent years.
