Arrrgh.... I can't seem to understand what the heck is going on in those papers. In fact, I think I'm punching above my own level here.
I've just emailed my prof (who's still overseas) regarding my plans on starting small-scale experimentation as well as some of the technical limitations that the lab techs have told me.
Hope he doesn't blow his top - last time I told him about some other technical limitations, the reply that I got from him seemed to be slightly tinged with anger.

i've had to shrug off a lot of things at work.. because a lot of people were way too sensitive and took a lot of things personally.. -

Yeah, I wouldn't read too much into his words, especially if he is usually diplomatic and polite in his face-to-face interactions with you. As Bear said, some people don't communicate very well through e-mails. -

apparently he got threatened by forumers on hwz.
which brings us to the question.
did he felt threatened by this picture? which was posted in the hwz.

they should just go about organising a boycott..

Yeah.... it's something like the rifling in a rifle barrel. Oh well... I'll try not to read too much into his words. I'll just focus on getting the job done as best as I can and hoping for the best.
