Fashion faux pas?

I've had lots.
Like at 17, I had my hair permed for the first time and ended up looking like a seasoned mahjong kaki.
Like walking around town and feeling good about the new pair of jeans I had on, only to be told by a passerby that my fly was down.
Like dressing up like a beach bum for a club's Beach Night and showing up on the wrong night. -
Secondary school daze and one time to a Zoo puting with friends... I was sporting a high-cut basketball shoes with jeans. Worse, I had my Secondary sch waist pouch ard my waist. I tght I was cool.

tight, body hugging tops and tight jeans ... and >.< ! .... fishnet tops ...
I was rippled then .... but it didn't realize until much later why I got more hits from guys than girls .... -
RIPPLED or ripped?
Twas in 1999...I was in Secondary 4..It was prom/grad night... i was in the white suit with black shirt inside and leopard print tie with white bell bottoms and a b/w suede shoes
not to mention, a leopard print fedora hat Needless to say, i was a feline that night -

My mother insisted on dressing me till I rebelled at 15.
So dont talk about perm hair, perm fringe, disastrous looking fat jeans & floaty frilly skirts....its still a major painful memory.
My grown up standard faux pas is wearing giordano jeans with 3 for $10 mini t-shirts and soiled sports shoes into the old Ridley's Bar @ Ana Hotel.
But then.....because I usually buys bottles. No one cares what I wear as long as I am the one throwing the money around. The bartenders knows to always make space for me at the bar counter, bringing me stools or whatever once I stand in front of them. -

Yeah, it was the hair....in those days when loose curls were all the rage. Looking at my photo, I think that hair aged me by 10 yrs.
Luckily, nowadays it more like the reverse. -

Hmmm when I was 8 or 9, I like to wear a bright printed shirt and bright printed bermudas
I wasn't that vain in Sec school and basically lived in jeans and t-shirt and sneakers -

It do helps when we have matured young man in Singapore as opposed to lots of lots of childish kids we encounter so often. In real life or even online. -
that's the good thing about wearing different shades of standard giordano tees and different shades of standard giordano pants. YOu look so unforgettable most people don't remember what you are wearing enough to notice you made mistakes.
Oh sure, occasionally I match lime green with magenta pants and people ask me how the hell do I match the colours but (walao eh morning ma.. who checks!!??) I just tell them the lime green matches the underwear. Bah. -

When i was 12 yrs old.. pestered my mom to get me my 1st pair of jeans (light blue.. high-waist.. tapered cut) during CNY shopping. Happy like shxt.
