An ex-secondary school friend is the neediest person I have ever had the unfortunate luck to meet. Her life is fraught with emotional issues, low-self esteem, OMG. I was her friend for about 10 years. Heng ah I got married and left Sg and lost touch with her.
When we were in primary school, she had complaints about her mother who loved her two younger brothers and didn't care for her, etc. When we were secondary school, it was about how fat she was and how no boy found her attractive. When we left school, it was about how unloved she felt. When she finally had a boyfriend it was all about he treated her, etc. I lost track of her (heng ah) for a couple of years then (suay-suay) I bumped into her again and she had a new boyfriend and the complaints and neediness started all over again.
Give her a wrong mobile phone number or something....
You have choice yep you choose not to use it and complain about your friend, when you choose to entertain her.

When i was working in SG a lady colleague of mine she think out loud. Her voices loud and So all of us have to accomodate her in the office. Its stressful. -

hmmm... i've seen them too...
ultimately, all it boils down to is that they are suffering from what i have termed the "Supermassive Black Hole Syndrome"
the universe is postulated to revolve around a Supermassive Black Hole..
in the same way, they feel that the whole universe must revolve around them... everything and everyone is on this earth because of them... and then, lacking the self-esteem, they keep badgering others..
there are also many manifestations of these people..
there are those who indulge in emotional blackmail.. and they are about the worse.. the most scary ones are those who put on a facade of "i'm suffering but i will be strong and not show it" yet they hint to others that they are "suffering"
by claiming that they "do not want to be a victim or play victim", they essentially become the ones everyone will side with and support no matter who was wronged...
what is scary is that it becomes their nature to do that.. so much so that they don't even know they are doing it..
in many ways, there are such everywhere... perhaps, we are without even knowing it ourselves
