  i wonder if this will happen here.. in the US, the insurance companies have a secret written strategy: they will drag out, try to give people small 'walkaway' settlements, sue, refuse to pay.. as much as possible until the victim gives up...
  
  and i am very angry with the folks who are feeling kinda silly now.. they got conned into buying a crapload of insurance for me when i was a minor which ultimately, now that i'm injured, they only pay PART of the hospital bills...
  
  when the insurance conmen call again, they're going to get it from me

  the US passed a law where the insurance company has to pay honest claims by a certain time, if not, they will have to pay 3x the amount plus lawyers' fee...
  
  but... the insurance companies are going to fight that

  is like every new policy release, my insurance lady (oso a friend) kept convincing me to get one..
  
  but if i have any medical history, they will not cover....
  and when it happens later, subject to approval for payment..
  
  then what the heck buy for... No assurance at all..

  buying insurance is a tricky thing. they did not read the fine print?
  
  but nowadays its not quite the same. insurance agents are required to go through a crapload of paperwork with their clients when they sign up for insurance, heck, I can show you the thick pile I did for mine. this is to ensure that the agents inform their clients wtf is it they're actually buying and their their clients actually understand wtf they are saying

  I'm lucky I think. I made a claim this year and it took only 2 weeks for me to get the cheque.
