Going UK for 2 weeks~

Hullo Folks, wonder if you have any tips/suggestions etc for me
I'm going to UK for 2 weeks to visit my brother who is working in London
However, I'm really quite broke even though I'm going to plan to live off him when it comes to meals and etc
I'd still like to travel (a little bit) but everything is so bloody expensive so need to be quite focused
Any suggestions which places is really DAMN worth it to go, not too expensive?
I'd probably spend about 5 days in London itself.. and 1+ week travelling a little...
The few places I'm keen to visit that are not in London would be:
- Stonehenge
- Bath
- Cotswolds
- lake District
- York
- Any other suggestions? Tips on HOW to get there would be great too....
Also any tips on saving $$$ huh.... -

Hi SC, one can still eat well cheaply in London, e.g. their cornish pie is about £2+ and it's big enough to work as brunch. And surprisingly, I find some of their groceries quite cheap (cheaper than in Sg if you're earning pounds), e.g. a large pack of baked waffles or some other pastry like thosai costs £1.80 which can last for 3 meals! These were prices that I saw last Nov.
Stonehenge is good to see, just stand outside the fence and save the exorbitant entrance fee.
You can do the same for those Windsor castle, etc. ...just admire from outside. I like Bath...it's such a quaint town with little houses build close together...it had a very nice Thai restaurant many years ago but I'm not sure if it's still there. Have fun!
ps: sorry, I've no info on how to get to those places, as I'd rented a car and drove out from London many years ago. -

I went to UK many MANY many years ago..more than a decade on SCHOOL literature tour.... hai.. tt time very good.. just sit inside coach ....
probably would rent a car to move about a little
