it "saves" the organisation some money in that they don't have to hire people to do it..
thing is, it takes away time which we should be actually doing our primary work to do this...
sort of like the story of the manager who made his whole section do the mass mailing of catalogues to customers... he was happy that he "saved a lot of money" as he didn't have to hire temp staff..
thing is.. he forgot that 2 days were wasted and his staff are paid about 2 times more than temp staff

my malay warehouse colleagues brought Pineapple tarts and other cookies for me....yippee...and he left them in his bike downstairs....later then bring them up for me...

I'm in school right now.
I didn't feel like going to school today (I don't have lessons on Mondays).
However, my sister (who's a teacher) invited all her students over today for a Hari Raya visit.
No way on earth can I study in peace with all those brats in my home. -

i don't get it.. why is it the bloody training branch fellas keep badgering us for training stats when it's all there in the new giant IT system for training (which causes more problems than it solves...
worse, when i call up the giant IT system, it doesn't give me any information at all.. it's hard as hell to use, and has all kinds of terms which no one can figure out anyway.. -

Speaking of accounting for fixed assets, we'd been given a huge list of that to do. We'd moved office like 3 to 4 yrs ago, and accounts ppl are asking us to locate stuff like the old ceiling/wall fans and old aircon units, and old wall switches that are permanent fixtures to the walls at the old office.
How the hell do we know where these fixtures are? Do they really think we like to unscrew out old power switches and old ceiling fans and move them about or keep them when our new office is 100% airconditioned?

Even more ridiculous are some items that are classified by them as fixed assets, and they expect us to locate stuffs like "labour to remove window blinds" and "trash bags". Was working at Wild Wild Wet for the weekends.
And was pulled in for special duties on Sunday for the Birthday party cos the actual hosts are either new or sick.
The kids are fun! We were totally wet for the days and the girls are very daring and playful. -

think i'll go search out my fixed assets.. i know where they are.. we don't have much...
