Hmmm....I want to talk nonsense today.
Last friday, I wore a white blouse with a long sarong skirt to work.
While photocopying for the baby lawyer while I was downstairs doing something else.
Ok...Heres what happened. I was downstairs managing something else, when this baby lawyer looked a bit lost and asked in general, can someone photocopy this? {NRIC}.
I immediately dumped whatever I was doing, walked to him, snatched that NRIC from him and proceed to make copy.
He commented that I look kinda paranakan today. To which I anyhow chitchat back to him while photocopying. "actually.....this is not paranaken.....its a sarong party gal outfit.....though I have parankan blood....just found out recently....."
Photocopy done. Baby lawyer commented he dont have mix blood. to which I chit chat back: wow, you true blu chinese lah
Then its him going back to do his stuffs and I pick up my stuffs.
In the evening, while at the lift lobbies with more lawyers, one commented again about the sarong look to which I reply: Its Friday, the sarong party gal outfit that suits our Boat Quay Office location. Lawyers all had a good laugh, and even my bozz raised his eyebrows pretending innocence.
Even the Myanmar gal was commenting about the sarong cos in her own country, sarong is their norm...to which I jokingly says....we should all wear traditional outfits for New Year. Then we see Sarongs, cheongsums & saris.
The only problem I can foresee, is that most of our lawyers are Indians. I dont think I really want to see these guys in Sarongs and singlets.
