I was at Wild Wild Wet yesterday, even though I was not supposed to. Was covering for a guy.
Anyway, one of the lifeguards beckoned me to his station and asked: "Why you never slim down arh?"
I went "Huh? Come that again?"
1. I dont know that lifeguard that well, I dont even know his name.
2. I know that he is currently training to run marathons.
3. I hear he was a ex commando.
4. Should I simply just push him into the water? -

So Singaporeans still arenÂ’t having enough kids. Yet pet stores seem to be mushrooming all over the island! Not say we say what, but there is clearly a correlation. How come we Singaporeans prefer pets to chewren, ha? We need to understand this if weÂ’re going to correct the situation. So here are some TOP REASONS WHY SINGAPOREANS PREFER HAVING PETS TO HAVING CHILDREN:
1. If pets keep wetting the bed, you can give them away or have them put down.
2. Pets donÂ’t watch those creepy Wiggles shows.
3. Nobody calls the police if you lock your pets up in a cage when you go out.
4. Pets donÂ’t borrow money from you.
5. The older your pet gets, the more they like you.
6. Pets donÂ’t roll their eyes whenever you tell them how much easier their lives are compared to when you were growing up.
7. You donÂ’t feel any pressure to send your pet to Montessori, Speech and Drama class, piano class, independent school, overseas university, etc.
8. ItÂ’s not likely that youÂ’ll ever be called to the PrincipalÂ’s office because of your petÂ’s behaviour.
9. You donÂ’t have to worry about cheekopeks trying to seduce your pets on the Internet.
10. Pets wonÂ’t bug you to buy them the latest Xbox/iPod/iPhone/Wii/Whatever.
11. When pets enter their adolescent years, you can neuter/spay them.
12. And if that doesnÂ’t work, you can sell their offspring. -

Dang... I came here all the way from Defu Lane. Spent quite a bit of time discussing stuff with an industrial spring manufacturer just now. I hammered out the details with him, and he gave me a quotation.
I just hope that my prof will buy the idea of getting the department to shell out $50 for three stainless steel compression springs custom-made to the specifications I want.
