I joined a Filipino colleague and her room mate to the recent Tulip Festival in Melbourne. I'll let the photos speak for themselves!

The trip there was really looooooong though! We boarded the Connex train at Flinders Station right in the heart of Melbourne City and it was an hour's ride to Lilydale Station. We had to catch a bus on a 40-minute bus ride to Tesselaar on arrival.
So, the trip there and back took us slightly over 3 hours in total. Add to that the stress of worrying if the infamous Connex train service will be late / postponed / delayed etc because if we missed that bus, the next one will be like 1.5-2 hrs later!
Good thing is, you can eat and drink on the train. I sat opposite my colleague and I had the dubious pleasure of watching her stuff her face non-stop throughout the entire journey! -
