  actually I'm not too happy with the pics, I've taken better. I think I'll do better on a weekend when I'm more relaxed
  
  first pic was at raffles city, the rest were at orchard road. I was using my fuji point and shoot (f31d)

  Unless one has reeeeeally steady hands, a tripod is a necessity for taking sharp night shots. Problem is, tripods can be a pain to haul around.

  tripods at orchard road these days? ahahahahahaaaaaaaa!!!!! you'd get run over by the human horde
  
  too bad my cam has no vibration reduction/anti-shake capability

  Thanks av. Although my heart was sooo heavy, just viewing the Orchard Road pics. Guess I must miss this time of year in Sg, more than I know.

  Wow!! Thanks for the pics cause it's the only way I can get to experience a little bit of the wonderful Christmas season over there in Singapore!
  
  It's certainly livelier over there than here. I only see the large silver-rish stars strung out along Swanston St, the same decoration as last year.
