that is a 'fake' anti shake. what it does is the camera cranks up your iso and whatever it takes to get your shutter speed as high as possible. there is no damped anti-shake mechanism inside. I hear the newer models now do.Originally posted by noopi:how come my f31fd have? (anti-shake)

Some digicams bump up the ISO thus allowing faster shutter speeds to capture an image in low light conditions. Posting pictures of night shots here does that well when no 'blurring' is shown and you crop your images or skew them down. That's why they look good. View them in original full size and pixel i say most of them CMI! Unless you are using a DSLR that handles higher ISO shots in low light conditions better than the normal digital cams, the only best options available is to use a cam with both true 'anti-shake' (that only improve by a few stops) and 'shake-reduction' (that selects an appropriate highest ISO) or simply use a quick setup convenient tripod.Originally posted by av98m:that is a 'fake' anti shake. what it does is the camera cranks up your iso and whatever it takes to get your shutter speed as high as possible. there is no damped anti-shake mechanism inside.
