For me it's my scrapbooks. It's not just full of irreplacable memories but all the bloody hours, effort and $$$$ I've invested in every single page.
Next to my scrapbooks, it's got to be a couple of platters that came into my hot little hands by accident. A few years ago I had a neighbour who attended a Wedgewood event. Fergie from the British Royal family was signing any item purchased. My neighbour went overboard and I guess was consumed by guilt because she spent over a grand on among other things, platters and two tea sets. I guess I was in the wrong place at the wrong time because she came over to my house and asked me if I would like to buy it for less than she had purchased them for. How could I pass up a deal like that?
jetta, I think your friend really needed the $$ because Wedgewood that's been autographed by an ex-member of the Royal Family should be fetching much more than the original price!
There's no telling how long she'll stay popular though, so are you planning on selling them off at a profit anytime soon?

I can fully understand that sentiment!
I have cookbooks in my collection that have been out of print for donkey years and are totally irreplaceable!
Extremely precious are my very first cookbook bought with my very first paycheck from then MPH at Stamford Rd; and my oft-used, dog-eared Chinese Cookbook from Wei Chuan; as well as a few old cookbooks by Ellice Handy that I stole... erm... 'borrowed on indefinite loan' from mom, because I spent many a day after school flipping through the pages when I was a latchkey kid; and Mrs Lee's Cookbook, the original version, which has really authentic Nyonya recipes in them.
Not selling those autographed platters. Giving to each of my kids as part of their wedding present, when the time comes.
my parents, my doggies and my baby peektures...
I think it's Piggy and Fatty :P
They are my 2 precious babies and when I'm away, I keep nagging at MPB to check on them
My drawings, laptop and all that's stored in it, postcards and presents from Kris and Simone, the passport and wallet, autographs from Russel Swift and Possum Bourne.
My family, friends and Next brand cigarettes.
Yes. My life. And hope.
Without Hope, I am nothing.
