A peek of Wales (and a little London)

Just returned from UK, stayed a few days in London, and visited Wales. It's really just a drive-thru of Wales because the place is so big, and being winter, many of the attractions weren't open. Although the weather was mostly cold, dark, wet, misty and cloudy (yes, it occasionally got a little depressing), the scenery was still breathtakingly beautiful.
You can't think of the country without its medieval and ancient connections - and those who grew up with tales of King Arthur and Shakespeare would find it hard not to feel transported back in time. Road signs in Wales are in both English and Welsh... but.. place names get really confusing when you can't FIND any familiar vowels!!!!

Kensington Mark And the Natural History Museum
It was nice taking a walk across Kensington Park, and we had a packed lunch by the lake.
The natural history museum was.... FANTASTIC. It was really good... the exhibits were well labelled, clear, and interestingly written.
Come to think of it, the museum next to the Royal Observatory was damn good too.

Conwy - this is a walled town... with the existing town walls and castle still standing~
I thought this was funny - Ancient Monuments can be DANGEROUS! Don't let your kids play with them!!! -

RHYL - an old seaside town. Still pretty.. seasidey. Damn cold.
it hailed when I was there. Check out the smooth polished hailstone against my rough cracked skin.

CARDIFF - Capital of Wales
the dragon is the mascot of Wales.. this is on top of one of the buildings of Cardiff University
No i did not visit the millenium centre. I got lost it was miserable being lost.
This is the lion from the Cardiff Castle animal Wall... I loved it cos I think it really looks very realistic!

And for the foodies - Harry Ramsden's Fish and Chips! I got the GIANT portion 300 g of fish and the regular one 140 gms... look at the difference

Vegetation on town walls. Looks like if we put in a lego man, it would look like some... arctic terrain huh!!! But I didnt have a lego man handy...

i went to British Museum too and it literally KILLED me. Didn't feel tired or whatever, until the end of the day at the British Museum. The sheer scale of it... completely exhausted me.... but it was good.
Yes I took the tube.. gotta take it from my bro's apartment to get anywhere. Lots of works going on though... so plenty of delays and disruptions.

I don't know ANYTHING abt the Rally so I took these 2 pictures. I think they were of the first few cars that came in. Can explain to me how the rally works?
We were wondering is it they just drive on regular roads or a specific route set out for them? How they beat the jam then??
And the cars! How did the cars get so damaged? -
