Woohoo! You caught the big ones - Henning Solberg (the orange Ford), his younger brother and 2003 World Champion Petter (the blue Subaru) and Matthew Wilson (the green-and-white Ford).
The rally consists of stages spread over 3 days. Each stage is a specified route that runs through the forest, countryside or public roads (Rally GB is run on gravel/mud). The cars are released at the start of the stage in 3 minute intervals, and the drivers aim to complete the entire rally in the shortest possible time. Between stages they follow specified routes to get to the servicing area or the next stage.
The cars get battered like that when they clip and brush against bits of the surrounding rocks or greenery. And of course the wheels also kick up whatever's in the dirt underneath.

We were wondering is it they just drive on regular roads or a specific route set out for them? How they beat the jam then??
And the cars! How did the cars get so damaged?
