Starting pay is not everything.. you have to see the job, prospects etc.. So if you do get between like 2.5-3 for fresh grad, considered quite good already.. -

Anyway, as long as you're happy lah. I don't stop the SO from buying his gadgets too, since he's spending his money anyway. I'm only annoyed when he buys things for me which I dun need but which he likes....like the mp3, and then the mp4....and then the headphones for the mp4.

No, these were the out-of-the-blue gifts for no special occasions. We sometimes dunno what to give for bdays, so I have orh-tang my b-day gift for 3 yrs already...still waiting for my Braun Buffel wallet to die first before getting the next one. After a while u dunno what to give and also we always end up buying our own wants because he will never pay 1.1k for a bag for me and I'll never pay 1k plus for camera lenses for example -
