I first read this comic book in the late 80's. I borrowed it from my secondary school's library then.
It's a really touching comic about a nuclear war that marked the end of the world and how an elderly couple living out in the countryside had no idea that they were probably the sole survivors within a large radius. They had prudently built a bomb shelter, ensuring their survival, but over the days post-explosion, they started to fall ill from the effects of the bomb, but they remained sorrowfully hopeful that help will reach them... someday...
Really poignant! If you can get your hands on a copy, you won't regret reading it! -

Lovely. Simply lovely. It has such an original style and certain bits in the book are so graphically-detailed that you can almost "see" the scene unfold in your mind's eye... literally!

Started reading this last year, got distracted, but am going to continue reading this again this year.
Not your run-of-the-mill fiction, this political satire is extremely quirky and yet, entertaining, and it will make you laugh! If you love dark humour, you'll love this book! -
yeah man sucks kena delayed, feist is my fav fantasy author, hope they make a movie abt his stories within my life time lol. Sad that kelewan isnt explored further, the empire only constitutes a small part of that world.
