Sometimes, really don't know why they are kpkb'ing about. You know what a few Aussies who've travelled over to Singapore have asked me? They look puzzled when they find out I'm from Singapore and they ask quizzically, "Why are you here? You live in such a wonderful country!"
And last evening, I had a visitor in a patient's room gush on and on about how wonderful Singapore's hospitals are because she had to visit a GP whilst in Singapore recently on holiday. She blatantly said, "Singapore's health care system is top-class! Here, it's like 3rd world!" This coming from a fair dinkum Aussie! We ought to be proud!

i have relatives in USA and Australia and they are happy to come back to singapore and close their CPF account.
it all depends. people who want a really stable life with a 'stable' government will like singapore.
people who are not affected by the government and need the resources from overseas to do their business will not want to come back to this country

Singapore's health care system IS world-class. You do have to take into consideration what you get everywhere else in the world. No place in the world, developed countries included, have a perfect system. Ours is far from perfect, but in comparison, is one of the best.

Personally, I love the four seasons and I have grown to like Melbourne's weather except during summertime.
*stares out at blazing hot sun outside and shakes head... Now, the four seasons is something you can never get in Singapore!

YES! We need more people.
Here's my joke of the week.
Sat, after working at WWW, I was chewing on a white rabbit milk sweet waiting for my debriefing when I felt a sharp pain on my left gum, i moved the sweet to another side of my mouth and out drop a fragment of my tooth.
I went rinsing and out pop another fragment of my tooth. Its from the 2nd largest left upper molah. It bascially broke into 2 pieces and left me a wall of that tooth on the outside.
Trying to find a dentist or a family doctor that is opened after 7pm is not funny.

Next time head to the A&E dept of SGH or NUH.
And there's a worldwide shortage for healthcare staff. It all depends on how bad the shortage is nia! :P

The earliest they can slot me in is 5th Feb!
Oh crap, I already had infection since yesterday, and I am at work 1st day.
Looks like I need to go to the expensive dentist.

I've noticed, especially now that ITE is offering Cert in Nursing to any folks with 2 'O' levels. Which unfortunately I qualify.But friends keep dissuading me from taking that course, saying I am too active for it and it does not suit me.

We have to go thu BKK anyway. You can go up, set up the enquiries and come back to BKK on way home to finalise your search.

but your trip lasts 2 weeks?
my original plan was for me to take a slow ride up, stay there for a month and mingle with the people.
ok tell u what, i do the 2 weeks ride up, like that at least i have a kaki.
