A few weeks ago, Honeymouse, mouse hubby, honeymouse's evil Dr weapons-of-mass-destruction bro-in-law, Bear's sis, Bear's sis' colleague and I packed ourselves into two cars and went on our merry way to Geelong, a 2 hours' drive away, to a blueberry farm to pick blueberries, and then to Queen's Cliff for lunch.
During the journey, we were giggling at Honeymouse, who sat right in the middle of the back seat, and looked like an Empress Dowager being driven around! We said she sat like an "ong teh"!
Are we there yet?
That morning, before the car arrived to pick me up, I loitered around Boxhill first. I decided to take a shot of this old church, but it was extremely sunny, not good for photo-taking, but then, I got this shot :
Creeping Shadow of Doubt!!
And then, a few steps away, was this Garden of Eden... not quite but oh well...
What struck me was how this could be a photo of East Coast Park in Singapore and we'd be none-the-wiser! I'm so happy that this Summer has been milder than last year's. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the grass remains green and not scorched, and burnt brown.
Finally, after a long drive, we arrived at the Blueberry Farm! Here's a view of a few rows of blueberry bushes. The netting is to keep out the pesky birds from feeding on the berries.
The drought has affected the harvest. We all remembered last year's harvest being more abundant.
Here's a mother berry with her babies...
One of the few prolific (ie. yet to be picked) bushes there.
Beyond the boundaries of the Blueberry Bush, the scenery caught my attention...
Just like an African Savannah!
Bushland.
Back to the farm, this butterfly tried to hide itself, but I managed to catch it... on camera at least!
This made me desire to have a digicam with a better zoom, say at least a 12X Optical Zoom! Shopping time!!
By the time we finished picking our berries, it was time to head to Queen's Cliff for lunch!
Queenscliff Pier
Are we there yet?
Love this tree!
Look at the cute ground vegetation! They resemble sea plants! Makes me wonder if once upon a time, the seawater levels were much higher...
Look at that mansion up on the hill!!
Where happy park rangers live with the happy brown bears beside!
Seaweed never looked more colourful!
I must have alarmed this Aussie couple when I saw a Kodak moment and ran up towards the boathouse just so I can snap this photo before they walk out into the sun.
This is for Fatum and MPB... this is a view down a fishing line!
