because.. redbacks aren't aggressive..
just like the Brown Recluse Spider, they're not aggressive.. they only bite when pressed onto the skin

Aaaaahhhh... Not that scary then!
But then again, my American friend is a paraplegic on a wheelchair so she didn't even realise she had been bitten on her leg until a terrible, festering wound appeared. She wouldn't have been moving her legs to frighten the spider, but it bit her anyways...
Still, the man is foolish. You can't pay me enough to get an arm's length to the Redback!
that is the one that bite spiderman!
erm...
jk >.<"

However, Brazilian wandering spiders need much less provocation...worse still, they look like Hunstman spiders and likewise don't build webs.

No leh! After you mentioned it'll be rotting away, I looked at it, and thought, the exoskeleton seems to be so hard and tough that I don't think it can 'rot', so as a kind of experiment fuelled by my thwarted curiosity, I decided to keep the corpse, just to see.
Today, I went to take a look at it again. It looks like a perfect specimen. The only differences are, its joints are contracted even more (rigor mortis, perhaps? ) and its abdomen is dented. Other than that, it looks nary a day older than its day of death.
I did more reading on Wikipedia, and learnt that you should also be wary of white-tailed spiders, Sydney funnel web spiders and mouse spiders. Even the Huntsman you killed is venomous, although it's usually timid.

The soft insides are probably mush now.

Well, I don't wanna get all paranoid and obsessed over spiders lurking in the corners now. As it is, now, especially at night, each time I see shadows, I jump out of my skin thinking that it's a spider! It's worse when it's bedtime! Whenever I feel 'something' crawling under my covers, I jump out of bed and turn on the lights. And now, I have to run a quick check of my bedroom before I lay me down in bed!
Thinking of the native spiders that will bite is bad enough, I really don't need to know yet more non-native spiders who are equally bite-happy!
