u stay at Great World Hotel mah??
I stayed at Dai Nam (3 stars), 2 streets from Ben Thanh market, next to a Courts lookalike mega store, and next a popular discotheque...and the disco started BOOM BOOM VERY LOUDLY every nite..
I stand by the balcony and watch the activities from my room above...pretty interesting to see their crowd streaming into the club.. and the security are the fierce fierce type.
Me, my auntie buddy and another uncle buddy wanted to take a look, they saw us (knowing we stay at the hotel and are tourist), they usher us in personally to the club. When walked into the entrance, the staff bowed.. i was like...errhh..paiseh paiseh...
we stood there and look at the for 3 mins and decides to leave. we thank them as we walk out, and they also thank us and bow at the same time.. wat exxcellent service... we are so impressed....
hmmm... went there in 06 for company trip and stayed at Great World Hotel....
Crossing the roads there is a nightmare... very unlike singapore.... takes lots of balls...
It started to rain... ran into a hotel (5-star really grand one). while relaxing (air con air con) myself, the fire alarm went off.. i went ...wtf..
the young good looking ah-moh manager came to me and smile sweetly and very courteous and charming and said: "u may stay here and relax, we are having a fire drill".
ohh....huh huh...i thought...hmm....i like..

I had eaten so much vege (raw somemore) for the 5 days... = ... ONE YEAR of my usual INTAKE OF vege..!
the place is next to a tennis court.. and yes, i sat on the short chairs (my legs were so numb after a while) and the chair almost gave way...
Chairs/tables laid at the street, cooking by the street..
We were ushered into the enclosed area, next to a tennis court (hopefully the balls dun come hit straight into my head). See the green chair at the centre, that was my mini-chair.

Day 3
Early morning, decides to take bus to Notre Dame Catheral..which is about 8 streets away. We walked to the Bus Terminal (2 streets from our hotel) and after enquiring many people..oki..it's bus 19. Hop up the bus and sat there and wait.
1st, a monk got up...we went huh..
then notice every bus got a vase of flower and their deity for protection.
Hawkers start streaming into bus and sell food and newspapers..
then, bus driver came, and a lady bus conductor board bus.
collected 300 from each of us. (ie. S$0.30 for the entire journey, irregardless of stops).
we still one chicken one duck..told them Notre Dame Catheral we want to alight...nod head (dun know understand or not)...then....
