*me peeks inside*
Looks like this year Air Show, can only board shuttle bus from Expo
No more from Pasir Ris
so laggy
got expiry date.. say...
boyfriends?
husband?
feel very peckish suddenly...
but nothing to munch or eat
Posted by the Bear in the other Jive Pad:
a few things i never understood to have expiry dates:
Vinegar - it's already acetic acid from alcohol gone bad.. and it's a preservative
Soy Sauce - it's a preservative, just like vinegar
Water - uhhh.. how the hell does bottled water "expire" ?
Salt - i swear i saw it.. because i was laughing my head off
MSG (ajinomoto) - so.. tell me.. how does this go bad?
Sugar - i am not kidding...can someone enlighten me?
Hehehe I know what you mean bear
But it's a requirement by AVA
And the best part is people actually throw away these items when the expiry dates are up.
I mean like frozen food if kept properly can be kept up to 2 yrs or more
Canned food over 5 yrs and if the can is not bloated it's good!
Just got home at 5pm.
Think I'll go take a nap..... I have one mondo big headache.....
*me mysteriously disappears in a puff of smoke*

My Korean Apple Vinegar that has probably expired liao is still sitting in my larder. I never bother to look at expiry dates for salt nor sugar.
However, for meat products, I will look at the expiry dates. And you should too! Seafood should not be kept frozen for longer than 2 months, all other meats for 3 months, I think. After that, if you still want to eat it, it's your business!
I have eaten yogurt that's one month past expiry date but any longer than that and it goes straight into the bin.
Bread, cakes, etc dry out anyways even if they haven't grown mouldy. I wouldn't want to grow fat eating stale, yucky stuff. If I will grow fat anyways, I wanna grow fat eating good stuff.

I've eaten lots of meat 2 yrs past expiry and I'm still alive and not suffered from erhmm active intestines. Haha
It really depends on your handling.
