Just got back from lunch.
I was reading TNP just now.... apparently, some dumbass kid in some top JC poured some laboratory ethanol in his mouth and tried to pull off a 'fire-breathing' stunt using a lighter.
Of course, the stunt backfired, and he got second degree burns to his neck as a result.
That fella is a total imbecile and nincompoop in my opinion.... not only could he have burnt his face to a crisp; laboratory ethanol is often spiked with industrial methanol to make it inedible.
He could have become permanently blind because of the methanol!

Hell, he could have died.... burns on the neck region are no joke at all. Not to mention possible asphyxiation and carbon monoxide poisoning.... if the methanol wasn't already poisonous enough.

I just plough through the straits times' feature on the annuity thingy ....
I think the garbarment is taking us for morons ...... it's still the same old scheme .... only difference is that instead of taking all of your money ... they take only part of it, and throw some back to your descendants to make you feel better ....

Its really puffy now. And I have no idea why.

I think i need to do a room cleansing again with that sound bowl again.
My ah sir passed me 2 little buddha statue and I had jasmine garlands hanged on them yesterday. The room smells so nice of Jasmine Flowers.
Wished I have the ifnances and the space to put in more flowers & plants at home.And oh....one of my tenants returned from Vietnam yesterday. 2 more will return end of the month.
Its going to be crowded again at the flat soon.
And I got to work at WWW this weekend.

Imagine this... You have four candidates standing in front of you, they are all 1.7 m tall.
#1 : He's a bodybuilder... his BMI shoots through the roof! He's supposedly categorised as "morbidly obese"!
#2 : He's a sprinter. He is lean and thin, and according to his BMI, he is "underweight".
#3 : Has glucose intolerance issues, along with a low metabolic rate. Needless to say, despite him eating small, healthy meals, he gets labelled "Obese".

Use the Waist-Hip ratio instead. Right now, it is touted as the most accurate indicator of mortality, as it is a pretty accurate indicator of cardiovascular health, ie. how healthy your heart is.
If you are apple-shaped, ie. thick-waisted, your risk of heart problems increases.
If you are pear-shaped, ie. bottom-heavy, your risk is not as great.
If you are hour-glass shaped, you risk getting stampeded from all the lusty and horny chee koh peks!
Here's what I found from Wikipedia :
"A WHR of 0.7 for women and 0.9 for men have been shown to correlate strongly with general health and fertility.
