*me mysteriously appears in a puff of smoke*
Just got back from lunch.
I was reading TNP just now.... apparently, some dumbass kid in some top JC poured some laboratory ethanol in his mouth and tried to pull off a 'fire-breathing' stunt using a lighter.
Of course, the stunt backfired, and he got second degree burns to his neck as a result.
That fella is a total imbecile and nincompoop in my opinion.... not only could he have burnt his face to a crisp; laboratory ethanol is often spiked with industrial methanol to make it inedible.
He could have become permanently blind because of the methanol!

Hell, he could have died.... burns on the neck region are no joke at all. Not to mention possible asphyxiation and carbon monoxide poisoning.... if the methanol wasn't already poisonous enough.
Then he'd have the distinction of becoming Singapore's entry into the Darwin Awards.
What a total moron.
I just plough through the straits times' feature on the annuity thingy ....
I think the garbarment is taking us for morons ...... it's still the same old scheme .... only difference is that instead of taking all of your money ... they take only part of it, and throw some back to your descendants to make you feel better ....

you didn't need help
had to say that
that being said, never blame those around you or those who taught you to read and write.. ultimately, you make your own decisions...

i had no choice ..... my teacher would have torn off my ear if i exercise my decision ......

oh no, it'll always make money .... their actuaries are good enough for that ..... hell ... it doesn't take much to work that out ..... the average singaporean still lives to less than 80 years old, which is the starting age for the pay-out ... which means that only a very few would ever need CPF to dig into the premium pool to pay them .... whatever pitiful amount that's left inside the retirement account when you conk out early, before ever reaping the benefits of the premium pool, goes to your descendants, if any ... but the premium pool grows bigger and bigger .... you don't get back what's gone into the premium pool .....
the goverment must think we are idiots .... this is exactly the same old scheme ... rehashed to make it sound better ... that you're getting something back .... and they are not taking all of your money ....
fark, I'd vote for a doodling, hokkien spouting, primary school dropout in the next elections as long as he's not under the pappies' banner ! ...

are you still in school?
seriously... stupid or not, it's our decisions..
just like the idiot in the office who inflicted his wife's loin-dropping on his mom... because they "cannot handle the children"
more: i figure, not only are they not trying, the guy and his wife are very happy that the mother can take care of the child instead of them... (overheard a while ago)
and what is even more scary is.. the people in the office agree with him
My eyes hurts.
Its really puffy now. And I have no idea why.
Might be all those dreaming at night.
I think i need to do a room cleansing again with that sound bowl again.
My ah sir passed me 2 little buddha statue and I had jasmine garlands hanged on them yesterday. The room smells so nice of Jasmine Flowers.
Wished I have the ifnances and the space to put in more flowers & plants at home.
And oh....one of my tenants returned from Vietnam yesterday. 2 more will return end of the month.
Its going to be crowded again at the flat soon.
And I got to work at WWW this weekend.

my intelligence improved leaps and bounds after leaving school

as most students would.. it is called learning by experience..
there are many who do not.. they are called "senior management"

let's see if they are dumb enough to put the gomez in to 'forget to post the papers' again?
i like LTK.. however, some people around him aren't all that trustworthy... with asshats like gomez around, there could even be a CSJ sticking one in CST saga in the WP too..
strangely, there are many CSJ-worshippers around who think that CSJ did nothing wrong by sticking one between CST's shoulder blades AND say that CSJ didn't stick anyone.. and that he was slandered by CST
that says a lot about the worshippers' state of delusion
senior management or senile management?

i guess they just din have enuff quality candidates to form effective teams to battle for GRCs
my colleague saved a kitten abandoned in a bucket filled with water up to kitty feet.
now, the whole office people gogogaga over the little fella.

depends.. which is what mosts senile people need to wear anyway..
but that is another story..
some become ministers..
and some ministers turn into zombies if they refuse to go away.. like lau lee.. which perpetuates the whole mess.. he requires fresh good brains to eat.. and most of these highly educated idiots go be ministers to have their brains dug out and fed to the zombie lau lee..
being the morons they are, they don't even know that they are now brainless... heck! we don't even know whose brains have or have not been eaten

they had.. gomez "forgot to send" the papers..

Forget the Body Mass Index, peeps! It's inaccurate!
Imagine this... You have four candidates standing in front of you, they are all 1.7 m tall.
#1 : He's a bodybuilder... his BMI shoots through the roof! He's supposedly categorised as "morbidly obese"!
#2 : He's a sprinter. He is lean and thin, and according to his BMI, he is "underweight".
#3 : Has glucose intolerance issues, along with a low metabolic rate. Needless to say, despite him eating small, healthy meals, he gets labelled "Obese".
#4 : Extremely skinny guy with a high metabolic rate. He loves to eat fried and oily food, and doesn't hesitate to consume animal fat. He is genetically predisposed to have a high metabolic rate. His BMI is in the 'healthy' range... but is he really?
Use the Waist-Hip ratio instead. Right now, it is touted as the most accurate indicator of mortality, as it is a pretty accurate indicator of cardiovascular health, ie. how healthy your heart is.
If you are apple-shaped, ie. thick-waisted, your risk of heart problems increases.
If you are pear-shaped, ie. bottom-heavy, your risk is not as great.
If you are hour-glass shaped, you risk getting stampeded from all the lusty and horny chee koh peks!
Here's what I found from Wikipedia :
"A WHR of 0.7 for women and 0.9 for men have been shown to correlate strongly with general health and fertility. Women within the 0.7 range have optimal levels of estrogen and are less susceptible to major diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disorders and ovarian cancers. Men with WHRs around 0.9, similarly, have been shown to be more healthy and fertile with less prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
WHR is a better predictor of mortality in older people than waist circumference or body mass index (BMI). If obesity is redefined using WHR instead of BMI, the proportion of people categorized as at risk of heart attack worldwide increases threefold.
Other studies have found waist circumference, not WHR, to be a good indicator of cardiovascular risk factors, body fat distribution, and hypertension in type 2 diabetes."
Calculate your waist-hip ratio here.
I'm so tired
All the hacking and coughing last night kept me up
