Hijack ah Rhonda's thread.
We went to the Science Centre on Saturday. It's much smaller than the one in Sg, with travelling exhibits. This time it's Time and Matter. I didn't bother to take any pictures inside the building because it was such a beautiful day and the trees were in bloom, so I went nuts.
This is a shot of the Natural History Museum. Too bad it had already closed for the day. Our biggest regret is that we always get a late start. We left the house at 230pm.
Here's a shot of the area in front of the museum. It was our first time visiting the area. There were so many other museums in the area, with so many activities to engage in. To think that we've been here almost 3 years and never explored this area.
Another shot of the museum. I just love the blossoming trees. Reminds me sooo much of Cherry Blossom time in Japan.
Close up of blossoming trees.
Wad time the musuem close?

5pm. We were inside the Science Centre till they closed at 6pm.
Wah. Ok.
Very lovely, jetta! I especially like the last pic, the one of the tree! If I were to see it for real, I think I could stand there for hours and just admire its beauty!!

That's what I was doing. My family knows that if they don't pull me away, I'll linger for hours and bore the kids to death. There was a sideshow a little down the ways so while the kids were enjoying that, I was snapping away.
Here's a close up of the blossoms and the walkway. I didn't venture down because it was kinda crowded. Next trip.
Here's a shot of downtown San Diego from the front passenger seat. And the waterfront. A cruise ship's in town, I see. That three-masted sailing ship to the left of it is the Star of India - the oldest one that's still sailing. The hubster had his retirement ceremony on it. The 2-masted one in the middle was the one they used in Master and Commander with Russell Crowe.
Very nice images. No snow. You lucky devil...
So pretty too

I'll remind you of this when the summer heat comes bearing down on you.

There are many blossom varieties so to my untrained eye, I'm not sure if they are cherry or apple blossoms. Both are soooo close.
