have you seen the kind of letters that get published ? .... the latest classic was the fellow who wrote in about ah meng being buried near the reserviour and wondering if the rotting ape would pollute water supplies ....
well, i don't travel SQ because of price.. heck.. i'm asleep just before cruising altitude anyway so any airline would do for me
but the asswipes of SIA should learn some humility and some humanity...
i still think the con-men-sultants who inflicted such practices and beliefs in the SIA senior management (and lots of others) should be taken out, and summarily tortured to death..

WHAT?!!!
OK, I must be a perpetual optimist because I still find it hard to believe that there can be such idiots around!
And the benchmark of extreme idiocracy continues to be pushed even further...

the scary part was why the letter was published in the first place ... does the editor of the PAP times think so little of the intellect of Singaporeans ? .... maybe he had to fill up he page for layout's sake, but can't publish other, more "politically correct" letters ...

I've seen worse....
Like the one who called for the government to clamp down on people wearing T-shirts with logos like 'McSh*t' and 'Starf*ks'.....
Or the parent who complained that swimming instructors should not touch the shoulders of their students in the middle of lessons.

What? Swimming instructors not touch the students' shoulders?!!! That's ridiculous! I think we have indulged fools for far too long now. Empty vessels really do make the most noise... and make much ado out of nothing at all too!
You will be amazed at the stupidity of Singaporeans
I have to repeat the classic case of this moron who complained to the MP about the hot weather and demanded that the poor MP do something about it!

Well done SQ .....
you know, now things are starting to fall into place for me .. that partially explains the lousy service I've experienced on SQ flights .... if you're working for a company which doesn't stand up for you, and will hang you out to dry instead, would you give your best for it ? .....
and crew members I know tell me that the young lady is a lot braver than we know .... they say that chances are, she'll soon find herself out of a job ... cos she's already been branded as a trouble maker by management for bringing this civil suit against a (business class) customer ....
nope .... I won't be patronizing the company for a long long time ....
Actually what did SIA say?
I read in the article that "SIA would not comment as the case is before the court"?

Wad the hell?!?!?!

the case is before the courts because SIA did nothing to stand up for their employee .....
if they did, would she have to fork out her own money to file this civil suit ? ....
veterans of the company all tell me the same thing: that this girl shall loose her job soon .... they'll find any sort of excuses, customer complaints, poor attitude, bad performance, whatever, to get rid of her ....
That would be like another slap to her face. For what it is worth I hope she fights back with every tooth and nail, shame on her supervisors and immediate superiors for bailing out on her.

SIA should have had the stupid woman arrested for assaulting their staff the moment the plane touched down.. the pilot should have called ahead for police to assist.. the rest of the crew should have subdued the mad woman...
that should have been in the SOP of SIA..
and not the sycophantic "protect the customer even if the customer abuses our staff"
Some customers are more equal than others
I bet the police would be there if the customer was from economy

for some people, one look you can tell that they are mean and cruel .....
Leona Helmsley, known as the Queen of Mean in New York, squeezes a dollar so tight that the eagle screams, and were famously mean to her staff and service personnel ...
Varsha Subhani, wife half of a Millionaire Indian couple currently on trial in the US for keeping a pair of Indonesian
Women as Slaves in their luxurious home in the US and torturing them ...
what gives them away ? .... I think it's the eyes ... and the eyebrows ... they all look like someone disney would draw for the evil step mother eh ? ....
Err I think these 2 are exceptional cases
At least their face shows
What about those who are mean but look like an angel
I think those are more dangerous
SIA is trying to shrink responsibility for lots of things
the recent two are one -- the stewardess who was slapped
and the other was the pilot who had blue materials in his laptop.

here, the stewardess was just doing what she was hired to do.. they should be protecting her...
the pilot with the child pr0n.. nah.. that has got nothing to do with his duties..
this will be a bad year for SIA. brand new A380's also can't save it.

now the pilot thingy is a totally different thing all together ... he had child porn in his lappie .... it's a vile, sickening, criminal thing to have ... he broke the law .... he should face the consequences, and he ought to be ashamed of himself too, indulging in kiddy porn, HE IS SICK ! .... if he, (a foreign talent no less), or the other SQ pilot find themselves back in their jobs with no recriminations at all ... I think something is seriously, seriously wrong with Singapore Airlines' management ....

it could have been a great year if they had the spine and accepted their corporate responsibility and defended their own staff when their staff is abused..
they do NOT need "customers" like those..
SIA is not that hard up for customers..
Actually would it have happened if she's just a normal passenger?

Precisely!!! I'm really shocked that they didn't do just that! It's physical assault no less!!
If such a thing happens in my hospital, we can immediately pull a cord that triggers a Code alarm and all the nursing staff in the ward will run to our aid. We can also call a duress no. and an announcement for Code Gray will be called immediately, with Head of Security and the Nurse Unit Managers and Coordinators and etc etc running up to assist. See how they protect us at work here?
Fatum, the faces of the women you posted, omigosh, they look downright evil!! They've got scowls on their faces and they resemble that evil what's her name in the 101 Dalmatians!
I'm wondering, in the 2nd woman's case, WHAT did her husband see in her? I mean, she just looks so obviously evil!

The plane would have radioed ahead to the police at the airport and the passenger would have been escorted out of the plane by the police immediately upon landing, methinks.
