Do you love what you currently do?

Read this article this morning, and was curious as to how many of us really enjoy what we do. I, for one, do enjoy most part of my job (like 80% of the time), but there are still the little bits that really make my job mundane... stuff like paperwork.
How about you? What do you enjoy / don't enjoy about your job? (if you are working, that is
) -
i enjoy some of my work..
but at the moment, i've got a sycophant for a boss and a jobscope which is expanding faster than the US budget deficit...
still, she's due to leave, i will eventually be transferred to another section where hopefully, the work is useful..
until then, i like the organisation i work for

Ah... it's good to have a job you love, but sometimes the people factor really spoils it all 
So when will this 'eventually' be? In the next couple of months or... ?

the boss is due for a move.. her rank is too high to be here looking after only 2 other officers while others of her rank are running at least half a division of people..
when the new boss comes in, i'll just have to psyche him or her to slowly tone down the stupidity currently being practiced by this idiot boss.. and maybe wind down and close this section totally...
we're excess baggage here while other sections are criminally understaffed..

i don't hate my job.
i hate the organisation and most importantly the pay.
without the idiocy of the current bunch of "leaders" (like what Teo Chee Hean calls them)
or maybe with better leadership + manpower + welfare + better pay, this place would be a nicer place to be in.

I get free food, free wine (I just took back 3 bottles of Italian wine), get to travel, I get to yak (now the doc says I have to talk less)
What more can I ask for?

I love your job perks! Given a choice to live my life again, I'd choose a career that will having something to do with either books / flowers / food / music. 
I envy you and LF - you for being in the Food industry, and LF for being in the Music industry.

Two weeks ago, if I had to answer this question, I'd say I have my good days, but most of the time, I tolerate and endure my job.
Now that I'm in the ICU for 3 days a week for starters, I LOVE my job.
The ICU is THE working environment of choice for me all this while and working in the General Ward just grated on my nerves! Now that I'm back where I belong, I actually go to work almost wanting to hop and skip there! And then when I have to be in my old ward for the remaining two days, oh dear... my feet are sudden heavy lead...
Ah well, soon, real soon, I will be working in the ICU permanently AND part-working, part-studying to get that coveted Post-Grad Diploma!
So yes, I LOVE my job!

We can be food buddies when I return! Say, have you watched the Japanese TV series, Kuitan? He's a detective who loves food and every episode revolves around food somehow.

One of my former teachers, who knew that there were a few subjects we loathed, had a few words of wisdom to share:
"LEARN to like it."
I'm still "learning to like" a couple of courses, otherwise I love what I'm studying and wouldn't trade it for anything else that's available here.
