i think i have llike 5 or 6............all pants are jeans.......lol

Brand names used to stand for better quality. But these days, it's just a marketing ploy because the quality of branded goods might not be as good as they ought to be, given the price! You're paying more for the glitzy advertising and marketing campaigns rather than for high-quality goods.
In fact, I had a colleague who had been buying branded high-end skin care and cosmetics and in the end, she told me that sometimes, the cheaper brands like Maybelline, Avon, Olay, etc offer equally good stuff but at a fraction of the cost.
I'd rather spend on books, DVD's, and games...
Actually, let's go start a new thread on brand names!
i have now 2 pair of jeans. and it's all that i have to wear when i go out. i used to have 3, but one ripped at the airport last summer =\ they are second hand jeans, so i actually have to be careful when i wear them out cos i cant afford to have them rip or something =\ (yes, contrary to popular belief, i am too poor to buy $200/pair jeans) and boy, looking at people who buy multiple $200+++/pair jeans just makes me wonder where they get the money from especially when they are just students.
seriously though, i need clothes. donations are welcome! haha. either that or i need to find places that sell affordable clothes.
I have 2
And I hate them both
I still can't find the jeans that fit me perfectly like the last one that was washed till it was paper thin.
1 is from FCUK. The cut is fine but it's low waist. I hate low waist jeans but I got it anyway coz it fitted me and I was looking for a pair desperately
Another one got no brand but there is too much cloth in front
I got that for my trip to USA coz it is bigger in size and I can wear long johns under
I tried wearing it in SG and even after alteration it doesn't fit properly!!!
Come to think of it elindra, I've never seen you wear jeans!

Ya usually I'm in casual pants or khakis or 3/4 pants
I think I wore pants once
Only once to a Kushion-Bo outing
LOL
I have about 10 of them.
And every year, I will buy more. Usually 10 pieces at one go.
They are plain dark blue or blueblack jeans. Occasional low waist boot cut but mostly boot cut hipster.
Really thin materials and stretchable in sizes L or XL depending on the cut.
Cost $10/- a pair or $12.90 a pair at most.
Buys from Shop and Save and CK Dept Store.
They are strangely very suitable for my rounded pear shape body and does not need altering.
And Elindra, I've ever got a Espirit courdrey jeans from Espirit USA and altered it in SIngapore. its still way too big for me and because of the alteration of its length.....I cant find someone else to wear it. Would you like to try to see if you can take it off my hands?
And also, maybe you can try my CK dept store jeans, because i intro a girl to buy it. She refuses it at first, but one time I forced her into the changing room and she comes out with that jeans hanging so nicely on her. She bought a pair too!
i gave my old jeans too salvation army now only left 3 pairs from giordano or queensway. btw i saw giordano jeans $69 got a shock when i in sec sch only $29.

Hmm... CK... is that Calvin Klein or CK Tang?
I need to get a pair of jeans that fit well too. But I think I the chances of me finding one in Australia is much higher than back in SG.

Waaaah!!! That's quite a lot of pairs! Out of curiosity, are they all branded ones?

Come to think of it, I didn't own my first pair of jeans until I was 21. For some strange reason, my silly mom thinks that women shouldn't wear jeans. Peng sanz!
yup, I find them too casual. I tend to wear slacks/pants be they pleated or flat fronts... and have various materials to suit the season and weather from linen, cotton, silk to wool etc. My equivalent of jeans would be something like corduroys or chinos...
I know of some people who think that women should not wear jeans... which I find strange. Quick question, does you mum think it is ok for women to wear pants?

Well, when I was a pre-teen, she used to say it wasn't. Funny you asked, think you must have an inkling as to how my mom was like and how my childhood was like, as a direct result of her idiosyncracies.
However, when I became a teen, she herself started wearing pants, so it became 'alright', although I loved to wear skirts and never really wore pants till much later.
I'm glad I now live far away from her - even at this distance, whenever I call her, she still tries to impose her ideas on me.
One.

Err... mine doesn't fit very well either.
But it looks good, compared to the others I had before! (why does that Willie Nelson song suddenly pop into my head )
I got mine from Target, btw. When there wasn't any sales for jeans, and there was a wider variety to choose from.

Really? I looked at their online catalogue and a few of their newer cuts look decent. Maybe, I shall go try them ... after I return from my trip. I have to scrimp for my trip back!

When will u be back in Melb? I'll be in Sg during the 1st week of May
Yay... I just booked my flight (SIN-SYD-PER-SIN) yesterday! At a very good price of S$1,061 too! Too bad it's on Qantas
What I hate is that the jeans here seem to be made for girls with narrow hips :(
I wish I had more time when I was in USA to try out the jeans there
The pants there fit me very well at the waist and hips.
Over here I always had to buy at least 2 sizes bigger to fit my hips and can stuff a chicken down the front of my pants :(
around 10 pairs
