I HAVE FOUND ANOTHER PAIR!!!! while cleaning the closet. hahahahahaha. not sure if it fits though.....
I prefer pants but looking at my closet, you won't be able to tell because I have equally many skirts. I only have 3 pairs of jeans but lots and lots of pants. My fave skirt is an A-line denim. I can't wait for warmer weather.

However, when I became a teen, she herself started wearing pants, so it became 'alright', although I loved to wear skirts and never really wore pants till much later.
I'm glad I now live far away from her - even at this distance, whenever I call her, she still tries to impose her ideas on me.
don't parents always try to impose their ideas and views? Mine still try and I have been living away from them for the last 14 years. How about that?
Maybe pants are "allright" because they seem more formal? Skirts (barring the mini) are considered formal "proper" attire for people in your mum's generation.
there are a few i have.. but most don't fit anymore..
i've been progressively growing sideways
i should just dump them all in the salvos bin..
i think i have one pair which i can wear now..
Four pairs. Latest addition is from TopMan.

Oh! Even after more than a decade, they're STILL trying?! I guess with that in perspective, I ought to expect quite a few more years of 'attempted interferance' from mom then!
It's really strange... even being so far away, mom can still have a few strong words with me that sticks to me and affects me for days on end. Sigh...
So, anyways, it's time for me to lose weight. I can still wear all my old jeans, but I'm tired of it being so hard to get new ones.

I can't wait for Autumn to come! Two weeks ago, I thought we were going to have an early Autumn because my body's seasonal sensors were out in full force! (I get mini nosebleeds all the time and my dermatitis flares up during the cold, dry months). However, Summer was unrelenting and unwilling to give it up cause since then, we've been having Summer-Autumn type days, sometimes, two seasons in a single day!
I went to Target yesterday and saw their new Autumn Collection! When I return from my trip back to SG, I shall get a good leather jacket and a nice trench coat... or two... or three! Hehehe!!

you should really go to the victoria markets and try and score yourself a leather jacket now... really you should have bought in summer as that is when prices are cheapest. My wife bought a really nice one from there a couple of years ago and only paid $99 for a calfskin jacket, very soft genuine leather. For trench coats try ebay, some bargains there and if you are brave enough, ebay america have lots of stuff as they would be coming out of winter now.

actually factor in 'attempted intereference' as long as they live. At least it is only your mum. I have it from both sides.... sighhhhh.
Parents do have a way of doing that don't they, say something that affects us for a long time... oh well... I am still dealing with issues I had with my parents when I was a young adult. Problem is that I have been here so long, changed so much, but my parents still remember the me I used to be. Sighhhhhh even more....
Try dancing... very fun and good way of getting a work out... otherwise, saw something on TV the other day about that diet where you eat six servings a day and have to walk for at least 1 hour a day or something like that... the servings mostly concerntrate on more protein, the idea being you will burn the fat before burning the protein or something like that...

Thing is, in Summer, the shops I went to were all displaying Summer stuff. It's alright though... K-Mart and Target have their sales quite frequently. The 'famous' warehouse sales in the shops along Bridge Road no longer exist. Within the short space of a year, I've seen so many changes to the stretch. There used to be really fantastic discounts but now, it no longer seems to be the case anymore. Ain't that sad?

Yeah... mom has the tenacity of a bulldog and a stellar memory! I am just sooo happy that I live far far away!
She's funny though - when I call her and she raises hell, I'll stop calling for a long time, and then when I eventually call again, she'll be all sugar and spice and all things nice! Good thing it's only mom I have to handle - dad is a 'silent dad'. Phew! Nagging from one is enough, I don't know how you handle two!

WHAT??! Tell me it isn't true!
Oh btw, Target has leather jackets for sale, from this coming Thursday. Get in early, and you might grab yourself a bargain!

Well, it's true, sadly. You can still get bargains, but good bargains much harder to come by, compared to say, a year ago, when REAL bargains could be had. I realised this when last Winter, I thought I'd go grab a few more winter jackets at good prices because that was what I did during my first Winter here. But I realised that there weren't as many bargains compared to my first Winter here. Sad, isn't it?
During a recent 'Sale' in a shop, I got myself a nice handbag for just A$39. I think that was after a 35% discount. Sounds great, right? Except for the fact that the bag, back in SG, would probably only have cost me S$35, at the most. Yes, it was a sale, but the bag was not really worth that much, even after the discount. So, that's what's happening here. You get sales, but even the after-sales prices don't really justify what you're getting for that price.
And as for Target's upcoming sale, I might have to give that a miss simply because I have to panic-save for my trip back home! I'm so ill-prepared this time round, it ain't funny!

The so-called sales you were talking about reminded me of the shocking prices of alot of stuff I saw during my recent trip to Singapore! Many things are no longer that cheap, compared to, say, a year or two ago now
If you like something in Target now, but don't have the means to pay for it yet, why not put it on lay-by or something?

was there in November early December... the sales were pretty good, got a versace white leather jacket with mandrin collar for about 1/6 of the going price... and my wife got some really nice clothes there...

My mum is funny that way too... if I call they give me all sorts of nonsense about this that and the other and they try to give me opinions and ideas on how to do things... and when I don't call for a long time, they are like we miss you both etc... and then they complain why don't you call...I'd love to tell them because it is very stressful talking to you both, but I can't really say that can I?
Dad keeps nagging me for not becoming a doctor... kekekeke.

BREY!!! How's things?
Ebay? Nah... hehe I've got too many things already! And besides, am a bit wary of giving out credit card details online... esp. to Ebay!
How are you, ah? Missing Krispy Kreme or not?

Na... I can't give this to you in 3D format, so you'll have to settle with this:
Oooooooohhhhh donuts!
The flower shape one looks interesting.
I have been gorging myself with the asian version of doughnuts....aka the youtiao for the past week.
Been eating almost everyda, butterfly, salted ham chee peng & red bean ham chee peng.
That are 70 cents each and fills me up nicely when I need to be at the library at night. Not too full, not too hungry and it stops my craving for anything sweet or another snack. I wonder why?
And oh....on jeans.
I still have 3 pairs of courdrey materials pants from Thailand. Cost a miserly 99 baht which is like S$4/- a pair.
And they are good! Comfy plus roomy at the right places. I bought them 2 inches too big though so they are almost sliding off my butts some times.
Will need to go get more of them on my next trip to thailand.

Danke Very Much!
Next time save some money and just send me the plain ones... kekekeke.
I tried on two pairs of jeans at Target's yesterday.
Same ol' problem... those that fit at the waist, are too tight for da big, magnified, J-Lo bottom.
And those that fit the big-ass of a bottom and thunder thighs are way too loose at the waist.
Sigh...

You have the same problem as I do
My new pair of jeans I have this problem
I got it altered and it fits at the waist, BUT, my jeans have too much cloth in front of the tummy and it is obviously ill-fitting.
I'll stick to my pants and capris and khakis ><
