I got it altered and it fits at the waist, BUT, my jeans have too much cloth in front of the tummy and it is obviously ill-fitting.
I'll stick to my pants and capris and khakis ><
Yup! That's the problem!! Too much fabric at the waist and tummy, making one look much larger in that area than one really is! As if I don't look big enough already!

Oh dear! Do they really get mildewed so easily?! I'm wondering if it's because of Singapore's high humidity, or simply because it isn't top-quality leather...
Tonnes, but only 4 I'm actively wearing.
A pair of faded levis.
1 indigo from topshop.
1 sandwashed from topshop.
1 faded, torn at the knee caps and all over from mango.
Army printed cargo pants are the best!
Three or four, none of which have been worn in the past year and a half

Did you buy those special pants for pregnant women, the types with a stretchable waist?
Just when we were talking about leather jackets, a TV ad for Target just came on - all women's leather jackets for A$99 only, for one week only!

You're so adorable!
I'm quite close to buying a men's bomber jacket for Autumn / Winter. Walk around in a man's bomber jacket, can pretend it's my boyfriend's, and it will feel like being embraced by him all the time... siiiiigh...

Yeah I bought a couple. All of which I regret. They were fine in the first two trimesters, but uncomfy during the third. The waistband is expandable but not hip-area, and you can feel the squeeze when sitting down.

Oh dear! Thought they were specially made for pregnant women to feel comfortable in? Looks like they have failed!
So, do you wear maternity gowns instead?

adorable is good...
but it is the painful truth...louder!
yesterday i went wintertime to look for winter parka. i walked straight to the guys section to look for the parka. the store lady says the cha-bors parka over the other side (i felt better). Then i ask the question, "got my size?" She paused a while and she went : "huh...oh...oohh....hmm...how about these (pointing at the $209 really nice guys parka), they are suitable for u...i mean for -30* oso can"..
Obviously trying not to make me sad..

Hahah it's difficult for maternity pants to be comfy 100% over 9 months because our bodies change all the time, what can be worn back then cannot be worn later. The only solution is to wear fully elasticised pants LOL I have a pair of shorts and long pants that work, they are both of cotton-spandex, fully stretchable and loose fitting.
When you say gowns I imagine those boat necked tents LOL I wear dresses and skirts .

I tell you something, when I was in Singapore, I was obsessed about size, and extremely conscious. It didn't help that the men over there are so darn shallow. Even those who say sweet, politically correct stuff like it's the character that matters, not the physical appearance, etc etc, are just paying lip service.
And then, when I came over, waaah! Suddenly, I was 'average'! Moreover, the men here do go around with bwee bwee girlfriends, some even more bwee-er than me! They don't like their women flat-chested nor too petite. So I find myself suddenly in heaven, kinda! I no longer think about size and weight except when it's close to going home time! Then I get all panicky and unhappy over it.
I haven't bought any men's items yet, but I think I might get men's shoes someday. I still chuckle when I think of my little, gray-haired colleague who told me one day, when we were discussing how unsafe travelling on public transport at night can be, that she ain't wearing steel-capped boots for nuthin', y'know!
I don't want any steel-capped boots, but I do want a man's bomber jacket so can look a little bit tomboyish in Winter! Hehehe!

Oh, when I was in the corporate world, the CEO's Executive Secretary, who was pregnant then, had a very classy maternity wardrobe. None of those flowery, pastel-coloured sleepwear-type maternity wear for her, but instead, the posh-looking (and also pretty expensive) types for her.
But then again, that American firm paid us all really well. I shoulda stayed on with them. I was young, impetuous, and stupid!

i am pretty big-sized for a lady... and I agreed if i go to a western country.. hah...i fit into the nice and "exotic asia" species.
if i wear my nice lady outfit, i look quite pretty too...(muahahah..me thick skin siah)..
i have long time friends who mentioned to me, they missed me wearing skirts and dresses. .
if i need to re-wear the girlie stuff, i must lose my belly fats!

Yeah the beautiful & elegant stuff are pricey! Well at least you're living your dream now .

I think I'm bigger-sized than you! I'm like a Hippo like that! Backside round round, face round round, tummy round round...
BUT, I'm healthy! And heng ah... I'm not apple-shaped, but Pear-shaped!

Yeah... not worth spending all that money on classy maternity clothes, unless you're going to get pregnant at least three times, or if you work in some status-conscious job!
I do miss planning my wardrobe for the entire week, dressing up for the office and esp for special events. It was quite fun!
I am living my dream now, but I'm still rolling up my sleeves and being hard at work, building the foundation and all... It'll take a while yet, but slowly and surely, I'm getting there. The first year was an absolute nightmare, but it's so much better now. Phew! I think for someone who put things into action all by herself, I did pretty well.
abt 6 pairs of blue jeans, ranging from $20 fake diesels to $200 river islands (still in da plastic bag. ha!). no levis no true religion for me, the cuts dun suit me
used to have 2 pairs of light brown colored jeans-that-looked-like-pants kind but throw away le. miss them

i'm not sure
but apparently the italian long leather jacket that her boyfriend gave her doesn't get mouldy so much
and it's much lighter but kept her warm when she went to London for a holiday during winter
but the target one weighs a tonne
she gets backache wearing it
and, it's more suitable for autum in Oz
i think it's really cool to wear a leather jacket in autumn in Oz
but must find a better quality one

Hmm... thanks for the info!
I did think that the ones in Target looked kinda 'dodgy'. I didn't really like how they looked, and somehow, although they say it's "Leather", it must be of the lowest grade!
I guess you really can't scrimp on some things.
What?! We're supposed to talk about jeans! And not some bomber jackets and coats!
Lets see...
I've 6 pairs of jeans; namely 2 Levi's, 1 CK, 1 Zara, 1 J brand and 1 Cheap Monday My latest addition being J Brand and Cheap Monday which are cult brands, and yes, I'm in love with cult brands out of sudden
For now, I'm going to boycott Levi's jeans; Levi's somehow doesn't fit us asians too well. And besides! Everyone's wearing it!

Try going to the Victoria Markets. The Last time we were there, we also went to Bridge street, there are two shops there that have pretty decent leather jackets for reasonable money. One is at the start of the street and one at the end.
