High end fashion goods?
I guess I am now buying a lot more Esprit stuffs to complete my collection. From slippers, Bikini, bags, winter jackets, pants & boots and whichever knick knacks from them inculding deodarant and a small purse cologne.
Another brand I am buying more of is Nike. Shoes, yoga pants, slippers, t-shirts even though I hardly use them.
I used to buy lots of Kiplings Bags, but those fads just kinda fade out as I aged.
I will still like to have collection of Chanel stuffs, but they are totally not within my social class thingy so I settle for just a Chanel No. 5 EDT & the Chanel Egioste Platinum EDT smells.
I dont mind looking ratty, but I like to think that I smell like a million bucks :P
I've got too many sets of cosmetics and body products too.

High end - eg: Gucci, Prada, Hermes, Armani Xchange, CK, LV, etc
simply Branded - you have the usual sports brands like nike, addidas, puma, etc.
Well, imo that is.

is LV like the attas of the attas?
Me and my fren were arguing bout it the other day.
She claims its the most attas such that everyone noes bout it. But i claim that there are more attas things up there just that we dunoe bout it. So who is correct?
Come to think bout it, my conversion topic are pretty lame.

It's about brand values and positioning, but they're worthless unless the campaigns and designs communicate that successfully to the public.
Have either of you take up a marketing module? Actually, neither have I, and I don't know if I'm making sense.
I'm not the sort who goes for high-end stuff. I can't afford it, and it has to look, work and feel really, really good to justify such a price tag. I don't buy clothes worth more than $100 other than jackets, suits or shoes, and find it funny that the 'budget selections' in the fashion sections of magazines fall on the wrong side of that mark.

Hey i took my marketing module alr k although i really dun sound like one who has aced it.
Ya same here i dun spend > 100 on things like tee shirts and stuff unless its sumthing i reali reali like Eg. Ralph Lauren Big Pony Polo ( but there are so many fakes around!) and business suits. And i am pretty shocked to read in the newspapers bout 15 yr old kids havin up to 10 BAPE T-shirts in there poession. My my those tee shirts cost up to 100 each! *gulp*
I second ur opinion. I've seen items in magazines screaming "SALES" yet the prices are 4 digit figures.
i buy branded Chef Uniforms... Pretty much about it. Oh, and i only wear timberland and birkenstock on my feet.

I've got to concede that you're right - just because you haven't heard of it or seen it here doesn't mean it doesn't exist. And for you to have said that, you must have felt that LV doesn't feel 'atas' enough.
It's also got to be said that the novelty wears out if you see too many people use the brand's goods (and the chiong copies). Then again, what do I know? I'm only applying what I know from another industry.
waiting for sugar mummy or sugar bro to buy for me

Ah well, please note also that it's very common for us to hijack threads and stray from the original topic.

You sure or not? Your big belt bucklet (Yes, THAT by-now infamous branded belt buckle! ) says otherwise leh!
KB and motoway, I agree with you fully on what was said about 'budget' fashion that's being featured in the mags being not-that-'budget' afterall!
I think there are some items that I won't even bother going for the brand. Stuff like camisoles that one wears underneath tops or jackets. I mean, a camisole is a camisole is a camisole. A 100% cotton camisole by any other brand is still a camisole. I wouldn't pay more than A$30 for a camisole, not unless there's something really special about it, like unique lace / pure silk or satin / embroidery / other detailing.
Some things are worth forking out the money for though. I've noticed that Polo Ralph Lauren shirts, for instance, look really fantastic. There's just something about the quality of the fabric, the cut and the good sewing that makes it sit well and stand out. Seeing a yandao man wearing a well-cut shirt... speechless...

I see you aren't ruling out brokebacking!

Talking about it... they sent me a card telling me about this orange massage oilI feel like buying it to bring along with me when I go for my massages
Well, just be mindful that Orange, Lime, Lemon, and other citrus-based essential oils are known to react on the skin under sunlight. It might not be such a good idea to get that afterall.
Here's an excerpt from one of my books on Essential Oils :
"... furocoumarins (that are present in oranges) that can cause photosensitisation on the skin in sunlight."
"Auraptene and bergamottin are two components which may cause photosensitization..."
From : The A to Z of Essential Oils, E Joy Bowles
Essential Oils are usually added in massage oils to give it that fragrance and to get the aromatherapy and health effects of the oil.
Erm... what is "atas"?
eh, the most branded thing i ever bought was a A|X t-shirt.
that was a yellow t-shirt with "long live the king" printed on it, the money spent was supposedly donated to charity, because it was for the Thai King's birthday.
other than that, its the usual sports brands.

high class
atas is malay for... up, or is it upstairs?
'Atas' => Malay for 'upstairs'. Nowadays a Singlish slang for 'high-end' or 'high-class'.
Anyway, the most branded piece of clothing I have is my England football jersey.... which my sister bought for me when she was in London. It cost her about 40 pounds, I think.
The most branded piece of clothing I bought for myself would be my black Lumberjacks jacket worth $79.90.
Been wearing it for five years, and it's still in good condition...... the FS has been nagging at me to get a new one, though.
