guess not. i've gone months without rice before. because i hated rice with a passion at one point. when i was around 15 i think. i'd eat just the dishes, but won't touch rice at all.
i remember the worst rice i've ever had. it's like hard watery congee uncooked grains dunno-what. in france somewhere. gross shit i tell u...because it was lunch time and we didnt wanna go back to cook. so we decided to eat out. and i saw some chinese-food-thing special and i thought, why not try chinese food in a western-french-pub-ish place? BAD CHOICE I TELL YA!! haunts me to this day.
In terms of rice, i could very much prefer brown rice cos it healthier
But i could usually eat more noodles than rice.
Rice is a staple in my family, but I like noodles more.
Actually, I've moved out for so long, I can't recall what we used to eat! Harhar!
I think my grandparents and dad consider rice as their staple food. I've always preferred noodles.
I find this curious because rice is more of a Southern Chinese thing whereas wheat based products like noodles and mantou are more predominant in the North.
