it's really simple to read malaysian crime news actually ....
if the MCA is called in, the victims were cheenas .... and the criminals were not ....
in today's malaysia, it most probably meant illegal immigrants from indonesia ...

My customer told me that these days you get lots of murders because your jail time is shorter if you kill the guy compared to if you hurt him
Kill the guy and you get like a year for 'manslaugther' This only applies to 1 race. If you are Chinese, Indian or any other race, it's the gallows
Police don't take action if you are of 1 race. I suggested the II bit and all of my customers scoffed ...so you get an idea how bad it is.
I mean just look at Penang. 2 years ago I wouldn't think twice about walking around on my own. This time, I have not even thought about it and every single one of them advised me against wandering around on my own -_-"

the sad thing is, it's really not about winning the argument in the thread there .... I'll tell you what'll happen ... the chaps will read all this backlash, go home and stew about it, develop and even more us-versus-them attitude, and our society gets polarized a little more ....

Anyway, if I were to toss in my dua sen on this halal food thingie.....
The way I see it, my dietary restrictions apply to me and to me only. I don't expect my non-Muslim friends to constantly have to make leeway for me just because I subscribe to one set of beliefs and they don't.
It's just like how if they want to go makan, I'll tag along with them regardless of wherever it is they're going. I don't see anything wrong with them eating pork at the same table where I eat my Muslim food, so long as they don't go about offering me their food or placing their food on my plate.
And even if the makan place isn't halal, I'll go either seafood or vegetarian.... that's a little stretching of the rules (if they do serve pork dishes), but the way I see it, to inconvenience others would be far worse.
That's why for the BBQ last year, I insisted that you guys don't have to make special arrangements for the FS and myself.... after all, we're bringing our own food, and there's a lot of other food that can still be eaten by us anyway. The last thing that both of us want is to have everyone Club 30 running around making special arrangements just for the two of us.

for our co. dinner, most of the muslims said the restaurant is non-halal, not gonna eat... end up they also eat >.< some even went disco after tat.. i went home hahhaa...

i actually know of a few pple whose religion is muslim but still eat pork....=\ a lot of pple dont actually care [or at least those that i know]. they would eat anything so long whatever it is they are putting into their mouth isnt pork....
