In other news, I was really, really shocked when I heard that Penang, Kedah, Perak, and Selangor all fell to the Malaysian opposition.

I knew that there was a lot of discontentment with the Barisan Nasional.... but I didn't expect it to be this great.

Even Anwar's daughter scored on her first attempt.

I hate to say it, but I think the democratic process is more alive and well there than in Singapore .....

I think it's great, I think people there, not just the minorities, are sick of the cronyism and racial politics up there ....

but there are some shockers too .... like jamaluddin ... the PM's son-in-law ... he's one of those kris waving ultras ....
