Already been just over a week since Mas Selamat escaped.
Honestly speaking, I really, really don't understand the authorities' fixation with releasing information about his condition when he escaped in a piecemeal fashion.
For example, we only knew about what he was wearing when he escaped this morning. The reason for that was that they didn't want the public to be 'fixated' with what he was wearing.
WTF?!?! In the first few hours of escape, he'd most likely be wearing his detention clothes... that's when such information would be the most useful! By now, giving that information at this point in time is almost useless, for he can just kapo a few clothes from a clothesline along a HDB corridor!

the biggest scandal of all would be the private HDB building contracts ....
what on earth were they thinking ? .... now we're ending up with 0.75 million dollar HDB flats ! ...

If you saw a crime, and the crook got away, the first thing you would tell the police is what he looked like, what kind of clothes he was wearing, and so on and so forth....
I guess the higher-ups are utterly lacking in common sense.... seriously, I would not be totally surprised if some Youtube video of him sipping kopi at a warung in Batam comes out someday, with him showing the finger and laughing away.....
