Sorry if I offended you.
I was merely pointing out his ignorance and his method of comparison.
One thing I can't stand is selfish and low intellect individuals.

I think they need to have another similar Bretton Woods agreement, because confidence in the US dollar is dwindling through the years.
With the increase monetary injection into banks troubled by sub prime, the US is going to depreciate even further.

Before you embark on your comparison, there must be some similarities between Zimbabwe and Singapore. Don't you agree?
Since Inflation is an economic problem, don't you think you should use economic quantifiers to perform your comparisons.
A good economic quantifier would be GDP per capita.
Zimbabwe's GDP per capita is $500 (2007 est.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Zimbabwe
Singapore's GDP per capita is $31,400 (2006 est.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Singapore
To compare you need some form of basis, else very soon I will see you making comparisons between yourself and a simbian or canine.
Ignorance is indeed bliss.

pardon my ignorance, may i know what exactly are you saying them you say economic quantifiers as comparison?
Are you saying that the higher the GDP, the lower the inflation and vice versa?
Guys, can we not disturb this forum and continue it here:

Rhonda... I think you made a mistake in putting this thread here in this forum when the ongoing one is still active in Speaker's Corner... It's like asking people to bring their quabbles into here. Just my two cents...

perhaps you can be happy but choose to look at everything in pure and utter accuracy so much so that life passes you by?
your choice
geniuses are usually dumber than a brick..
I am happy for you, living in your safe haven,
I pray the bough doesn't break and you will forever live your life of bliss.
Why bother about the poor and the hapless right?
Perhaps I too should seclude from the vagaries of reality.
Why bother about other lesser folks so long as I can eat drink sleep and be merry.
To each his own.

He will say you sound like me again because that was similar to what I told him. Anyway, exit this thread yeah? Let's respect this forum for its intention: "Come Chill Out In Our Virtual Lounge!"

That I agree with eagle, wrong move posting issues like this in your own forum.
Unless you want to turn it into a battleground and bliss forsaken.

Firstly, I rarely venture outside Club 30 simply because I usually don't like what I see in the other forums. Therefore, I have no idea whether or not this topic had been discussed before, or is currently being discussed in another forum.
Secondly, I intended to learn something about inflation myself, from those who actually know what they are talking about, those who have studied Economics before and are well-versed in the fundamentals, or even guys who read extensively and have an innate understanding of the economic mechanisms that come into play during inflation - I wanted to learn from guys like that.
What I definitely didn't want, is to see petty arguments, one-upmanship, insults, sarcasm, and plain rudeness. No matter how intelligent one is, or THINKS one is, the minute arrogance creeps in, ugliness quickly sets in, and the person loses his/her credibility and alongside that, respect.
If you do have the knowledge, if you are armed with an understanding most of us do not have, by all means, please share it with the rest of us, so all might learn from it. No one is an expert in everything, and pride goes before a fall.
So take all the petty insults elsewhere. If anyone is unable to participate in this discussion in a mature manner, then sorry, please do us all a favour, and stay away from this discussion.
