Street racing: Onus on parents

THAILAND: Parents have been warned they'll go to jail for up to six months if their children are caught street racing.
Justice Minister Sompong Amornwiwat worries youth problems are on the rise and getting more serious and complicated.
Police are keeping a close watch on motorcycle shops which they suspect are behind illegal street racing.
Sompong told a seminar yesterday youth problems are not limited to street racing but include crime, drug abuse, assault and sexual assaults.
He wants parents and others to help prevent these and says the justice system should be a last resort.
"Parents must cooperate. They buy the motorcycles and allow their children out at night without question.

"Girls riding pillion passenger find themselves as race prizes and are often gang raped," he says.
Sompong warns parents will go to jail if they sanction illegal racing. He says parents should steer their children clear of "materialism", which leads some to "sell their bodies" or steal to get money to buy brand-name products.
Metropolitan Police commander Maj-General Amnuay Nimmano urges families to act as role models for children and not to let them out at night.

At least this makes the parents responsible for their own kids especially reading an article some weeks ago about parents dragging their young children to family court for some petty reasons

The papers today talked about this brain dead idiot who brought her kid to preschool even though her child had HFMD!!!!And of course it spread to the other kids!

In racing circles, girls have always been putting themselves out there as some kinda trophy prize for the speediest driver. I think there are some loose girls who get turned on by men who speed and turn out tops.
Maybe in all racing movies, there are always scantily-clad women around.
Hell, even in public motorshows, sexy girls are employed to sprawl themselves all over the cars. I think some of them look like they'd make love to the cars if they could! -

actually, how to enforce this is simple..
you just make the parents buy 2 body bags.. the types used by the coroners..
one for their child, and one for any incidental person they kill during their street races..
they are to display the body bag in their home prominently and when their child is killed, the parents are to go to the accident site and deliver the body bags to the coroner...
with the death taboo in most countries, and all these things, you can bet the parents will clamp down on the child...
