  I don't view all rear-echelon personnel with contempt, and hell, my CQMS was one brilliant fella I truly respected. Heck, being a coy medic, the frontline grunts see me as an REMF just because I stay at the CCP instead of charging at the objective.

  What I really can't stand is rear-echelon personnel who whine and moan about cannot stay out, camp too far from home, etc etc.....

  Give 'em an inch, and they demand to be given a foot..... sigh.....

  Well, at least the PAP Times got one thing right: panic-buying and hoarding is counter-productive and only makes things worse.....

  After all, supply shortage => panic buying => worsens shortage => worsens the panic buying..... it's a vicious cycle.

  Besides.... for how long can rice be stored safely at home before it gets infested with weevils?

  those aunties in Hong Kong need to be told... Hong Kong does not have any rice reserve... max is 15 days unlike it's 2 - 3 months over here
