I'm told that we have the highest concentration of casinos per person. Until lately we have never been curious about them. We've checked out three so far. One of them has an outlet mall right by it and that was the first casino we checked out. Good grief, after an hour in the building, we were reeking of cigarette smoke. *cough! cough!*. They had a non-smoking section but it was barrier-free. I soooo don't see the sense in that.
The second one we visited was the same and I came home with a humongous headache and $100 lighter.
Last night we checked out another. You have to walk through the smoking area to get to the non-smoking area separated by glass doors. Hallejuia! We must liked it because next thing we knew it was 330am! I was $60 richer too.
The casinos here are on Indian reservations and they each boast of huge buffets, sprawling grounds, luxury hotel rooms, etc. I just dislike the drive on long and winding mountainous roads to get to them.
*sob*
haven't been to one since 2005!

Good grief!!! That really hurts! What were you playing? I only play the slots and penny slots at that.
Roulette & Big/Small.
wanted to play the 3 Card Poker but managed to stop myself before i lose more.
I've only walked through casinos, just to look-see, but so far, have never spent a penny in any.
My first birthday in Australia, an Aussie friend treated me to A$10 worth of fun at the slots machine. And in the early '80's, on a company-paid cruise to nowhere, I spent about S$15 on the one-armed bandits, and that was it.
I think I have better use for the limited and meagre amount of money that I have.
Hmm.. i like vegas :D I like that it is kitschy and coarse and loud and pretentious and doesn't take itself seriously :D
once though I was in the crown casino... friends wanted to gamble so I was whiling away time at 5 cents per pull jackpot/black jack games when an old lady spoke to me....
she was asking me what I was doing there when I should be spending my youth in the sun, out of doors. and the reason why she is here spending her pension away was because she had nothing else to do but wait for death to claim her.
:(
I don't gamble so casinos just don't interest me :P
I went to casino in nevada and 1 in reno....well to me not much difference cos i always lost $$ there. haha
i went to the crown casino about.. 14 years ago...
i lost A$12... three drinks at A$4 each
a couple of years ago, went on a rec club visit to Genting... had to go help my friends with statistics.. smelt like an ashtray everytime i went in... they won quite a bit but in the last hour (just before we left to board the bus) and finally, the winnings between the two totalled around RM 25
most of the time was spent either walking around outside or imbibing at the sports bar
The last time was 6 years ago, in Genting. I wasn't old enough to gamble anyway, and it still doesn't interest me.
i heard melbourne casinos are great, they have funnels to shoot out flames which can be seen around 5km away.
anyway, anybody got tips for roulette? i only know the 'bet opposite side' strategy.
