Just reached school.

I read the Mind Your Body section in the morning rags today.... there was one article about some Singaporeans who were turning to a diet of raw fruits and vegetables only. Nothing else. No carbs, no protein, no fats.

My stomach was seriously churning in disgust when I read about the attitude of some of those fellas on the diet..... they claimed that they felt 'cleaner', and pointed out to their high weight loss as positive results.

Please lah..... their feeling of being 'clean' is just the placebo effect, and the high weight loss is because they're forcing their bodies into quasi-starvation mode!

The doctors and nutritionists who were consulted by the reporter all poured scorn on such a diet, saying that it was lacking in protein, iron, vitamin B12, folic acid, and lots of other important things.

One woman's comments about the medical concerns behind such a diet was really hurtful... she said something like 'Doctors and nutritionists are not the kings of dieting'.

And I wonder if they have better programmes to show on TV than '80s Rewind', 'Heartlanders', 'Police & Thief' and 'My Sassy Neighbour'...they're all seriously poor television. I just watched a clipping of 'Nevermind The Buzzcocks' and it's so much better! When will they produce something as good as that? (I'm not exactly asking for 'Neighbours' or 'Hollyoaks'...I don't fancy them either)

cos co say bus driver never take notice

wa liaoz, bus packed like siao how to see... even ppl alighting they gotta see using the left side mirror + the help of ez-link reader beep sound

talking abt packed buses, days back saw 1 packed SBS bus, those ppl standing near exit door gotta alight to allow ppl alighting to alight at e bus stop smoothly

Anyway for SBS itself, looks like it's going on a bus booming years again

Volvo & MAN are supplying SBS demostrator models... It's likely 1000 more SBS buses are to be replaced by 2010
