can talk nicely to new boss that you are tied up and "cannot commit the necessary time to the project to do it justice"

The printing of my thesis to be submitted to the examiner cost me.... $29 (printing) + $2.50 (binding)..... $31.50.
This is what I get for doing a flow-visualization project which relies heavily on the patterns of coloured dyes.... I have pages and pages of colour JPEG images.
Then I'm gonna have to spend another $8.50 to print and bind another set for my prof.... luckily he realized that it would cost me to print in colour, and so simply asked me to submit a soft copy along with the black-and-white hard copy.
So I spent $31.50 + $8.50 = $40 for printing.....
Oh well.... a friend of mine actually had to spend $50++ to print out his thesis.....

haiz...same fate...
oh, i always use this laundry & dry cleaning shop. You call them, they pick up the suit/s for dry-cleaning fm yr hse/office and send back to u when done (& collect money)..normally i accumulate ard 3 suits and call them....price is almost the same outside and cheaper than some in the east side.

the script of this site automatically adds "amp;" to the end of a few punctuation marks.. which is why i had to edit by clicking on the "visual" tab and removing it manually

in other news, someone used a phrase in the organisation newsletter without knowing the actual meaning.. and boy is it a clanger!
