the glaciers damn nice!!!!!!
Oooh yea oooh yea gonna visit Sichuan if i haf the chance when i go over to China mid 2008. If ya don't mind, gonna get some tips and pointers from u missy!!
Waaaah!! The photos and the descriptions are sooo interesting! And it looks like living in a freezer there! Bbbrrrrrr!!!
And, today is a Sunday!! You promised, hor!
i'm back..
here's more pics...still on the cable car..
I love travelling on the cable car.. maybe up there, when overlooking at the majestic mountain...I feel uhum.."high and free"..felt "happiness".."quiet" and "ahhh..this is life..."
Finally REACHED the top of the mountain...less air now..so i have to adjust "my breathing" and walk really slowly...
The ground is covered with snow, so it's slippery..
gotten myself a snow grip thingy (that tied to my boots).
The 1st fleet of stairs is a downslope (covered with wet/slippery snow), I chickened out as I have lousy balancing skil.
An 50 year china auntie saw me standing down looking at the slope helplessly, Smiled, came over to me and just grabbed my hands, ...skillfully and gently, slowly supported and guided me down the slope safely. SO grateful siah...and so MALU siah...
all my 2 guy kakis did, were to grin evily as they struggled down the slope themselves...grrr...
The place is so beautiful...it's like WONDERLAND, A FAIRYLAND,
i'M IN HEAVEN!!!
Reached the viewing gallery...overseeing the glaciers and I saw a mini avalanche...and a while later, we heard a big one...all rushed over to the gallery...but cannot find leh..
then i thought...chiam hor...there are stairs leading down to some places lower...nearer to the glacier...isnt it dangerous..
and my 2 friends were out there too...worried liao lor...
These are the worker who carried passengers on these stretchers up and down the slopes for a fee...
I saw an auntie being carried away cos lack of air (too strengthous even walking), i gave the auntie some sweet prunes to calm her down somemore...
my 2 friends who "trek", during coming back time, oso surrendered and paid these men to carry them back..
well, one of them too comfortably being carried like a king, DROPPED HIS MOBILE PHONE at the Glacier.
goodbye to his mobile phone...
we were joking should there be an avalaunche, the phone may kana flushed down the slopes, there will be a lucky trekker/villager.
It's snow land..
It started snowing...it's MAGICAL...how romantic...
i hope my dear was with me..
and I told myself..must bring my parents there next time..
I gave my "1st kiss to a snowman"..
some of us are Nikon cammy users.. we must not forget our dearest equipments. We still have to credit our partners (we take pics with it, and have them by our sides throughout the journey. We even slept with it to keep it warm)...
We wished these cammmy were sponsored.. We wished we had D3..
Maybe it's the food i ate there, lots of vege and oily stuff, i "shit" at every station,...the police post, police station, temples (during the journey) and now at glarcia top (toilet).. my 2 guys waited for me (quite a while)...in the snow.. it's still snowing..
Time to go back at 4pm as it snowing very heavily...not safe liao..wind, snow, getting dark...argghh..run back to cable car tower...
The 2 guys got pretty pics of these colourful flags outside the cable car tower while i hid inside the control station (which is cold too).
and the sky got dark quick..
r then after the cable car ride, we took the last bus down..
twirl, turn, super-fast speed gliding down the slopes..for an hour...
we chose to sleep...cos we "no eyes see" liao...
(plus the mini-bus was overloaded, we were packed like sardines). it is not safe at all.
finally reach the exit point and walked to our hotel, which only 20m away... phew...
We proceeded to dinner at a eating stall nearby...and it is not cheap too.. its RM240..S$50, there were only 5 of us..
and with all the over-eating for th past 3 days..and bopping up and down alititude of 4,000m and bumpy road..
My tummy bloated (indigestion and start to be breathless).
I puked on the 4th nite (after dinner)...and any mountain sickness, tummy bloatness and breathless....ALL GONE..
I was healthy, super energetic and happy during the entire trip thereafter...
updating 4th day (out of 15 days) later....i rest a while...
beautiful pictures very adventuring. well you have marked your spot at every station. "LOTUS WAS HERE"
those gray photos of snows are really like black & white photos
they are not black and white leh....they are the same colour as we see.. cos it is snowy, everything is dark (the trees) and the snow are super white..... therefore creating the black/white effect.

i think the whole entire sichuan province people and police knows we were there.. "oh look, it's that lady, bet she is asking to use the toilets again"...
We travelled on cold cold weather, endless mountainous road with no toilets at least 7 hours each time.. sometimes we dun see civilization for 4 hours.
The guys can let go anywhere by the bushes they liked.
I did that 3x in the open...and my butts felt really cold !
Once on big bushes by the lovely stream, once on side of a snowy mountain road, and once on isolated glacier top...!

ha ha! i understood what you meant. when we were in a town in India and those ladies forced me to ask if a toilet was available,
they laughed at me as if I was cracking a joke.
4th day..
Set off early in the morning to head for another destination...
On the road, must jam brakes many times because of the sheep, cows, horse, yaks ....etc..
or illegal parking (kana clamp by gong-an liao)
it's a long and winding road..
heading towards more scenic places.
Finally see Blue Skies..
This Stupa is situated at 4,800m...
it is very very cold and air is thin....
I have to huff and puff just to walk 10 steps to the stupa to take pictures..
very weird..once very snowy very thick snow, then suddenly lead to road very dry..
Finally reach hotel liao...it's getting dark..
take some picture before dragging my tired body to my room.
bor liao..nothing to do...we venture out again....near to our hotel.
