I usually brisk walk for about 10 mins before jogging. I was told that the body needs about 10-15mins to warm up before it starts to burn fats..Is this true?

From what I understand.....
In cardiovascular exercise, intially your body burns mainly glucose. It's after a while that it starts to burn fats. How soon that happens depends on a lot of factors, like how much you're exerting yourself and so on.
So I guess yeah, sustained exertion is the way to go. Start slow, and gradually ramp up your jogging mileage as your fitness level goes up.
How about creating a mini gym at your home ? Stationary bike, dumbbells, pull-up bars etc.
Siiigh... I've got 20kgs to lose...

No leh! I no longer participate in Club 30 activities due to sheer physical distance, but still haven't lost the weight that I would like to leh! Basically, blame one's own lack of discipline, not the Club outings lor!

stationary bikes take up space wor
Managed to reduce my weight by 5kg and now I can feel my pants and shirts are all getting "bigger". Hope to go down by another 5kg by July08. :D
