Middle age:When your age starts showing at your middle!
Only reason why I bought from OCK was.... I was feeling a little hungry, and there is an OCK outlet near my lab.
Otherwise, the ones at Paya Lebar market are much better..... bigger, crispier, and just 40 cents each.
wait...u said 40cents...
still got 40cents one meh?

the ones u bought for pot luck at pinky's?! those are ... yummy.... *drool*
sadly, i'm old enough to remember the origin of Old Chang Kee..
it was at the end of Niven Road at Selegie... i used to go there to see them handmake each curry puff, one person would roll out a crapload of flat dough discs... and 2 or 3 people will fill the thing with the curried filling, add a sliver of egg then pinch the dough into the distinctive crimps then lay them out on trays...
then the guy who ran the huge wok filled with oil will then put them in one by one into the boiling oil to fry them...
they used to be 25c each...
they had a rival there which i think is still there.. just across the little road.. the other kopitiam name Selera Restaurant... also not too bad..
